Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Nuwara Eliya

Not as close to Adams Peak as it sounds, still 1.5hrs in a tuk tuk. However the caretaker there was amazing, he packed us breakfast for our 3:30am leave time to hike Adams Peak, and made delicious meals for dinner and lunch and booked us tuk tuks.

Very warm welcome in this guest house. The view is beautiful and the food is good. The rooms are very large and the beds too. The building is an old one and is very charming. The bathroom are simple but clean with hot water. Over all, the owner is very very friendly and gave us plenty of advice to discover the region. The lipton’s Seat is a pure beauty, one of our best walk in Sri Lanka with magical landscapes.

The Weir House is definitely one of the most beautiful and pleasant places I have stayed in Sri Lanka. The house is wonderfully designed and decorated, it’s so well done up to the smallest details. We felt so at ease and extended our stay because of that! The staff was amazing, so kind and welcoming. Mr Asiri and his team really took the best care of us and our 1 year old son. Also, the food was the best - compliments to the wonderful chefs! Next time I visit Sri Lanka, a stay at the Weir House will be high on my list. If you love nature, architecture, design and great hospitality - this is the place to be.

Piyal and his wife are great people. Their welcome was always warm and Piyal's many tips helped us a lot during our stay! Location is great location, and convenient location. The views are absolutely splendid!!! I recommend 1000x and more!

Couldn’t have been happier or found better place to stay . Shall be returning to Kandy / Sri Lanka and this is where I shall be choosing to stay. Andrew and his team are amazing hosts ! And it is simply blissful being on the property. The food provided there was for me, the best I’d had in my duration of being in Sri Lanka. Extraordinary view from the complex, really friendly hosts, nice comfy bed and everything was clean and well maintained. The access road is a little steep with 2 bigger bumps so be prepared for this if you come with your own vehicle. Parking directly at the property. The hosts even offered us a better newer room for the same price which was really convenient for us. I would definitely come here again if in Haputale. Great value for money!

We loved Piyal's place! The hotel itself is an experience - a warren of rooms built into a hillside with really stunning views (ours had a balcony with the best view imaginable). Piyal and his staff couldn't have been nicer, and were very helpful when we wanted an onward taxi and local information. Breakfast was excellent too. Great value for money and great fun, you'll love it.

In my opinion was the bed to hard. Everything else was very nice and neat. Good breakfast and nice people.

It is a little far away from the town and Ambuluwawa Tower but they arranged a tuk tuk for me who stayed with me and took me back. This place is gorgeous and the pool especially. You have privacy in the cabin and on the balcony. I loved this place!

We were very surprised when we arrived at Appleton Villa. Although a little secluded from Nuwara Eliya, it is recommended to have your own vehicle, but the property is the most modern and luxurious one we have found so far in Sri Lanka. The room is super clean and equipped with everything you need - even with a large smart TV. The bed is insanely comfortable and the thick duvet perfect for the cooler region. The shower has hot water and a hair dryer. The breakfast is also super extensive and you leave the house in the morning. The host is great and makes every effort to ensure that you are doing well. That's why we booked one more night here.

Our stay was great from the first moment until the end. We felt very welcomed by the the lovely host familiy, who cared a lot for us and gave us good advices for Nuwara Eliya. The house is very modern, the rooms are nice and clean. The Location is great, since you have stunning view over the town from above. The breakfast was always delicous. They also arranged our transport to the Airport, which was a fantastic help and a cheaper option than it would have been from a driver conpany. Thank you so much!!!
