Cabin vacation rentals in Northumberland County

John is a very warm and approachable host. He was there to welcome us and show us around the cottage. He was available to quickly come over when we needed something and is overall really pleasant. He was kind enough to let us know that we could use a part of his property that is enclosed to let our dog off-leash and play. The property feels very private, by a beautiful quaint meandering stream. The interior of the cottage is spacious and free for clutter with a more than capable large wood fire furnace. The outhouse was as clean as it can be.

We had a great stay at Mina and David’s place. The cabin was super cozy and peaceful. We especially loved the sauna and outdoor fire pit with all the lighting. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics (although cleaning the dishes in the outdoor sink gets a bit tricky when it’s cold out). We loved that coffee, tea and espresso was provided. The grounds were beautiful and Mina and David were quick to respond to our questions. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back.

We stayed one night at Tina’s place. It was just like the pictures. Cozy, clean and warm. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Both of them were very lovely and helpful. They had all the necessary appliances like Microwave Oven, Toaster, Kettle, Mini Fridge etc. Heaters kept us warm during the stay. Beautiful seating near waterbody. We loved the stay.

we decided on a 5 day family vacation with my 2 boys and our French bulldog. we wanted something unique, off grid, peaceful and where we can connect as a family after a busy summer. the tiny oak cabin delivered all of the above. we were surrounded by beautiful scenery, forestry and incredible sunsets. fresh farm eggs were available for purchase as well as firewood making it easy to access! Andrea and her family were so pleasant and let my boys feed the farm baby goats. what a great experience from beginning to end. would definitely recommend!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful serene log cabin, located on the river. A very relaxing retreat to recharge and be in nature. The cabin is well equipped, beds are comfortable with nice linens. Kitchen works well and has most of what any chef would need. Hot tub was an added bonus and quite enjoyable as you watched the river float by. Eric was very responsive, and provided lots of information about the history of the home, area and suggested things we may want to do locally. We had the pleasure of seeing a beaver, mink, hawk and various ducks right outside the cabin during our stay. A tranquil stay. We hope to be back.

Cant say enough great things about our stay this weekend. The property was very clean, it says a lot when an outdoor kitchen is more clean than most indoor kitchens. It was a cold night so it was nice to have an awesome fire pit and the room for sleeping stayed warm throughout the night. Excellent communication from the host throughout the whole process. Will definitely be back here and have already recommended to several friends. Thanks!!

We had a great time at this cabin. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and had clear instructions from the host. a very well thought out cabin and we appreciated the hospitality! There was a storm week ago which meant a lot of nearby trails were blocked due to fallen trees and branches, but plenty else to enjoy otherwise.

The host was super responsive, the resort is well maintained and the people are friendly. It was a wonderful cottage country experience. Each resort has its own propane bbq and fire pit. You got to buy your own wood. Plenty of outdoor activities- ping pong, basketball and volleyball court, play structure for the kids etc. Great place!

This was our second visit to the Oriole Ridge Cabin. Jalene and Hillary have been exceptional hosts for both our visits. If you are looking to get away for a relaxing, worry free getaway, this is the place. The cabin is a gorgeous mix of rustic wood with modern touches and pops of colour. The large windows overlook a gorgeous view of rice lake that we enjoyed both from in the cabin and while soaking in the hot tub. Everything has been designed with purpose and functionality in mind. We can’t wait to return! Thanks again!
