Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Northern Hungary

A gem found in Nagymaros, which was found by chance for us. The location is great and has a beautiful view. Extensive garden and a nice accommodation. The upper floor is a bit cramped for the somewhat taller person, but it is easy to adjust. Neighbors and also owner of the residence are very friendly, offer privacy, but are also in for a nice conversation in which they have tips for the area. All in all, I would definitely book this again and this was a very nice experience.

Nice, sophisticated stay. The host was very kind, thank you for recommending local restaurants and excursions. The place especially liked the bright living room (large windows to the garden) and the calm, quiet bedrooms. A crystal clear stream flows at the end of the garden, separated from the garden by a fence. Really relaxing appartement.

We went as three families, each with two children, and we also took a dog with us. The hostess was pleasant and flexible in changing the date and at the same time the accommodation was amazing, exactly adapted for families and children - open space for playing outside and inside. We'd love to come back.

Sara's house is an authentic Hungarian country house with a location on the outskirts and a terrace that opens up to the countryside. It is very lovingly and high-quality furnished and we felt very comfortable there right away. Simple bikes are also available, with which you can immediately go out to explore the area. Everything is sparkling clean and superbly equipped. Sara is super helpful, responds quickly and gives great tips. She has a lovely friend who greeted us at check-in and showed us everything. If you love original Hungary, this is the place to be. We had a bit of cool, cloudy weather, but it was heated, just because of the clouds and the construction, the house was a bit dark - but all that should be of great advantage in the summer.

Everything went well, very comfortable, clean accommodation, everything you need is available. Edina answered all questions, an excellent host.

Great apartment for someone looking for a place to stay before a connecting flight from Budapest. There is a supermarket attached to the apartment and a short distance away is an area with fast food restaurants. The house has an amazing yard that is fun to sit in at night and there is also a pool on site. The host is very welcoming, available and waiting for us at the entrance at the time of arrival. He gave us a tour of the apartment and showed us where everything was. We stayed there for one night, 2 families, a total of 4 adults, 4 children, and 2 babies. The place has full equipment for children (bath, chair and crib)

A cozy privat house in a very quiet location, still conveniently close to Budapest center. We only stayed overnight being on a roadtrip, but the place was exactly as we expected: nice, clean and quiet. Very cozy terrace overlooking small garden with magnificent cherry tree. Very nice, caring and responsive hosts. Highly recommended and will be happy to return!

This apartment was lovely, very fresh and modern, really tastefully decorated, it had all of the amenities that we could have wanted for our stay and was very comfy and cosy. The location was great and really walkable to everything that we wanted to do during our visit. Check in was flexible and accommodated our late flight without us needing to bother anyone, also we were in quite a busy area but we didn't hear any noise in the apartment as it was quite set back so nice and peaceful while still being in the main area for bars and restaurants. Andrea was very responsive and provided lots of information via message which made the whole process really easy. Was a brilliant stay and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.

Eva was a brilliant host she was very quick to respond to any queries we had. The flat was perfect for our visit to Budapest. It was spotlessly clean and full of all the amenities we could need . Eva provided us with lots of recommendations for places to visit and in the flat there were lots of maps and guide books for suggestion. If we were to visit Budapest again we would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Victoria and Ronen's apartment in Budapest. The flat was superb — very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Our hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, making communication smooth and easy even from a distance. One of the highlights was the stunning rooftop with a jacuzzi, offering the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the city. The location is ideal as well, with many of Budapest's main attractions within walking distance. Highly recommended!

We are 4 senior ladies who had a wonderful stay at Dovi's apartment which was very spacious. The apartment is in an interesting district quite close to transport. The beds were comfortable and we were able to get our washing done. Dovi was very responsive and Maryann met us and helped us with our bags both arriving and leaving. Altogether a wonderful time was had by all.

We had a great time at Sebastian's flat. It's a cozy, quirky little place that looks just like the photos. It is very close to a major public transport hub yet very quiet. Sebastian is a super friendly host with a lot of tips on what to do in the city. He was very flexible and communicative. To note, the flat is up a steep street and only accessible by stairs, so may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility. For everyone else, definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment in Budapest! The highlight was definitely the view of Matthias Church from the adorable balcony — it felt like something straight out of a postcard. Waking up to that view each morning was a real treat. The apartment itself was beautifully maintained and came with thoughtful extra amenities that made our stay even more comfortable. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips, from a well-equipped kitchen to little details that made it feel like home. We also really appreciated the peacefulness of the neighborhood. It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, yet still close enough to easily explore the city’s main attractions. Orsi and Tamás were extremely communicative and responsive which was amazing as well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, scenic, and serene place to stay in Budapest!

I stayed here for two weeks and would have happily stayed longer. Not only is the view actually better than the photos suggest, but the entire apartment was larger than I expected too. The location is fantastic; just minutes from a metro stop, a large grocery store, and a few really good restaurants. I was quite happy to be on the Buda side. All the sights in Budapest are very spread-out anyway, so it seemed more important to have easy access to the metro. And being here helped avoid some of the drunken-tourist chaos in Pest. The apartment has a great shower, and a very comfortable bed (as long as you don't mind climbing in). The blinds darken the room well. Wifi was fast and never went down. The kitchen had everything I needed. The balcony gets direct morning sun, and stepping out there with coffee was a great way to start a day. Vilmos and his co-host were friendly and perfectly clear with all the information I needed. Highly recommend this place, especially for longer stays.

The apartment is located on very good loct. There are excellent restaurants in the area, as well as the opportunity to shop in a supermarket or in the stylish large market hall. The subway station as well as tram and bus stops are only a two minute walk away. In about ten minutes on foot you can reach a beautiful park on the Gellértberg (Green Hill) as well as the well-known thermal bath. Although the apartment is very centrally located, it is quiet and offers privacy. It is modern and stylishly furnished and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The roof terrace is very inviting, the highlight is the hot tub. There are also many games, toys and books for children of all ages. Marietta and Gergely are very friendly, respond immediately and have many helpful tips. And as the icing on the cake, guests can expect a loving gift at the end. All in all really great – highly recommended!

Overall, we enjoyed staying at the apartment very much. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very centrally located. You will find many great restaurants nearby. The landlady was very friendly and helpful. Communication always worked great - we never waited more than 10 minutes for a response. We would gladly come back. :)

We had a great stay overall! The location is fantastic—close to everything—and the space was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were kind and responsive, which we appreciated. We did run into a minor issue with the AC, as it made a squeaking noise periodically and didn’t cool down. We chose to turn it off and open the windows, which brought in a nice breeze, though also some outside noise and mosquitoes. With a little attention to the AC, this place would be even better.

A nice stay just outside of downtown. You can be in the city in no time with public transportation. The apartment is clean and tastefully decorated. Nice that there is a balcony and air conditioning.

Fantastic location in Budapest right in the heart of the city. Great restaurants and easy access to public transportation and to local sites. Barbara was very helpful and I really appreciate her hospitality. Definitely worth a stay if you like to be close to nightlife in Budapest but also want comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend.

We loved the location, neighborhood and interior design. We found two great restaurants nearby. The neighborhood is a peaceful, green one. Not crowded at all. But you could still access the major sightseeing points by tram or on foot. Definitely recommend it. Would love to stay again.
