Beautiful schoolhouse, North Uist, Outer Hebrides

RosyRating, 5 stars85 months ago
The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

Rustic Yurt in Wild North Skye

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was undoubtedly the best experience (and accommodation) I’ve ever had on Airbnb. Sophie and Callum were absolutely fantastic hosts. Their house is beautiful, and the yurt is truly something special. First of all, it’s so thoughtfully designed and well organized. It has everything you might need — and more — and it was spotless. It’s very spacious, and the bathroom and kitchen are simply adorable. Second, everything was clearly explained, and Sophie and Callum left us fresh breakfast in the kitchen every morning. You get the unique feeling of being surrounded by nature, yet with total comfort. Sophie also gave us plenty of great recommendations for things to do and see, as well as excellent tips for nearby restaurants (listen to her — her suggestions are gold! And if you get the chance, have lunch at the Stein Inn — the seafood was sensational!). Overall, you can really feel how much love Sophie and Callum have poured into the space. Thank you for giving my mum and me such an i

Druimard

GillianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our favorite place of our entire trip. My nephew guess that we had paid three times as much as we had. We love feeling so at home. We appreciated the personal help with the stove (showing up at the house within 10 mins)—sorry for our confusion. Thank you for leaving us food and directions to get us started! Great restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend making reservations—for the castles (Doune, Dunvegan), the seal tour, The View restaurant (and ask bartender for off-menu drinks), the Portree Hotel restaurant—days in advance. Thanks to the hosts for having Scotland Monopoly available! We had a great game and that helped us learn more about some of what we saw in the coming days. So appreciate your opening your home to us! Highly recommend!

Such an excellent place to stay in Portree. Walking distance from downtown with an exceptional view of the bay and surrounding area. Blossom Cottage - Luxury Self Catering

AntoniaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Blossom cottage was a beautiful and peaceful location with lots of nice walks and views from the front door. Roag is a small hamlet with no shops but Dunvegan is in driving distance with shops, a bakery and some lovely restaurants and cafes too. The cottage was the perfect base to explore the island and made for a very relaxing holiday.

A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.

Head In The Skye - Dramatic Sea View at Healabhal

ΚίμωνRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property on the Isle of Skye. The property is not only visually appealing but also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location is simply amazing. Nestled on the Isle of Skye, we had easy access to breathtaking landscapes, local attractions, and charming restaurants, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the unique beauty of the area. Property was clean. Hostess provided detailed information prior to our arrival that helped us check in. One of the bathrooms featured a bath instead of a shower. I would definitely visit again.

Fantastic place to stay while exploring North & South Uist and Benbecula. The house was a home from home with everything we needed. There was only two of us but it could comfortably sleep up to six. Will definitely stay here again if it’s available when back in the area.

Hiort Pod (Baleshare Bothies) Dog Friendly

KirsteenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Magic from start to finish! Loved being on the croft, hearing cows alongside redshanks and lapwings and the sound of the sea over the dunes. Easy to get to beach by path round the field. Pods are lovely, everything we needed (including wood and kindling so we could have a wee fire outside in the evening) and when we had a question it was answered and sorted straight away with no hassle. 100% will be back. Thank you.

Magical! That’s the only truthful way of describing this place. It is extraordinarily beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. You’ll have world wonders at your door step, but you might just want to stay and enjoy the place given how magical it feels. If that was not good enough, Kathryn and Angus are the most lovely and generous host you can ever get, making you feel right at home in their beautiful forest. I’ll be coming back as long as I can!!!

This is a really lovely place, spotlessly clean and very cosy, with a super comfortable bed. Every kitchen utensil you could possibly need is there. The shower was great, as well. The location is very quiet and peaceful, and, despite my misgivings, it is really easy to find. Many thanks to Vicki, who was incredibly friendly, responsive and patient. I would definitely stay again.

Joiners Cottage

LissaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great stay in this beautiful traditional cottage. The photos don’t do it justice. The location is central to the whole island so it was very easy to reach both North and South. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday with a slow pace of life, the Joiners is perfect. Everyone is so friendly. We really enjoyed exploring the island and its rugged beauty and stunning beaches. Eating out options are limited and you have to drive however the quality is excellent especially the seafood.

Dunganachy Self-catering Cottage, Outer Hebrides

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A lovely, well equiped small home in a very peaceful location. Our hosts were kind and responsive and very helpful in accomodating us when our ferry to leave the island was cancelled. The kitchen is very well equiped, a lot better than many AirBnbs, the shower in the bathroom is excellent, the house is warm owing to an efficient thermost contolled system, and ther is a good mattress on the bed. As many other guests have said an ideal base for exploring Benbecula and The Uists, and easy to get to from Lochmaddy and Lochboisdale. This a property we would book again if we can back to the Outer Hebrides

The house on the Isle of Skye was more than big enough gorgeous four or even five people. The cozy living room was great for the evenings. The company, holidaycottages, was very professional and gave us all the information we needed. And in case of an emergency or other needs, the phonenumber of the owner was available as well. The view from the house was amazing as well and the wood stove and the jacuzzi were great bonuses. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful home base for a family trip to Harris, the house had lovely amenities (including Lewis chessmen game which surprisingly provided more entertainment than the massive TV for the 10 year old with us). The house was extremely clean with plenty of towels/bedding. The kitchen was lovely with everything you could ever need. The hot tub takes a long while to heat but as long as you know and prepare for that it's all good!
