Picturesque seaside cottage, steps from the water, 5 minutes from the train station. Ideal base for exploring Edinburgh (20 minutes away by train) or visiting the beautiful Kingdom of Fife (Aberdour, Anstruther, St Andrews). The property has a private back garden in the shadow of the Forth Rail Bridge (now a UNESCO world heritage monument), and is situated down a quaint cobbled lane that is closed to traffic. A little piece of heaven under the three bridges.
“Stayed here with my wife and our toddler for a few nights. The cottage is located right in the heart of the village in the shadow of the Forth Bridge. Yes - you can hear the trains but it certainly doesn’t disturb and for us, enhanced the visit. The cottage itself is homely yet beautifully presented with lots of wonderful Modern Movement touches, including a Corbusian chaise in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked and there’s even a little garden which caught the afternoon sun long enough to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine before dinner. Communication and check in with Andrew was super easy. Would highly recommend.”
This beautiful spacious modern/boutique first floor apartment nestled in Dalgety Bay 30 minutes from Edinburgh's city center and on the Stunning Fife coastal route. Perfect get away from the city, yet easy enough to commute to Edinburgh or explore the many beautiful Fife villages. The apartment has been recently renovated, spacious with open plan kitchen/living area, 2 double bedrooms and private parking.
“Myself and my partner recently stayed in this property over the new year period, the place is very well located and pretty central to local amenities including supermarkets and train station. The train in to Edinburgh city centre costs around £5 return and there is free parking for your car at the station or it’s a lovely walk to the station - it took us around 30 minutes at a leisurely stroll. The place itself is cosy and quiet, Julie thought of absolutely everything we could of needed. There’s basics in the cupboard for cooking - we’ve stayed in so many air b&b’s and have had to buy all the little things. Free WiFi, chrome cast on the tv to connect your phone. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy. The only downside was the shower, if you’re any taller than 5ft8 you have to crouch to wash your hair. Overall a fantastic stay in a lovely place! Would definitely recommend!!!”
The Boathouse is a charming self-catering cottage situated on the bank of the loch, within the picturesque Dundas Estate. This delightful property has an open plan bedroom and living area, extending to the veranda, which boasts breathtaking views across the loch, shared only with neighbouring ducks, swans and geese. Undeniably romantic, the Boathouse exudes a sense of tranquillity and peace, making it the most perfect place to relax and unwind.
“We booked for a long weekend whilst attending a friends wedding held at the castle. A perfect escape from city life, watching the nature in and around the lake during breakfast on the decking, Cosy nights in, walks around the grounds and everything we may need was there, so we didn’t have to bring much with us. Will definitely be coming back to this beautiful little hide away.”
