Magnificent view over the ocean

Experience spectacular views from the Bird Box, located at the top of Ørnhaugen on Langøy. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. Ortnevik is two and half hours north of Bergen, on the south side of the Sognefjord. It's a picturesque Norwegian village sitting by the fjord at the foot of the Stølsheimen National Park. The local ferry can take you to see a bit more of the surrounding area, such as Vik, Voss and Flåm. Along side the mountain and forest trails, fishing and rowing activities found here. We expect guests to clean the cabin to the same standard they found it in or there is the option of cleaning for 500 NOK.

Short distance to grocery store , 5 min walk. Private entrance and free parking. Newly refurbished in 2018. One bedroom with a double bed. White goods. Exit to garden that can be used! Nice hiking area right outside the door, short distance to the mountains around Førde.

We stayed at this place with our family with 3 children for 4 nights. We were immediately impressed by the fantastic view and the very cozy house. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are fine, the living room is very cozy. The first day we took a nice walk to the opposite mountain and met a flock of sheep there. The days after it rained a lot, but we had plenty of books and board games with us. Even in rainy weather, the view never gets bored. The instructions to get to the house are very clear, as well as to switch on gas and electricity. No downsides! Highly recommended!

We are a group of friends from Australia we didn’t know what to expect from Atløy but what an amazing trip the property is beautiful & photos don’t do it justice.The owners had though of everything & the property compendium was very detailed.Even though the weather wasn’t the best we had lots of beautiful walks in nature & spent hours looking out at the views.

Very nice little hytte, well decorated and charming. This was a wonderful experience, being in this cozy hytte, while being alone up there in the mountains. Edvard and his wife were really nice with us and drove us up there, with a remaining 15min hike to the hytte after that. If you want to enjoy peaceful nature with a wonderfull view on the fjords and still a bit of comfort, this is the place to be !
