Amazing hosts! Patricia speaks English and even though her dad does not, he went out of his way to connect through many kind acts. He would bring baked goodies every morning and several times drove us places, including back from the airport when we returned our car. They also left us lots of food, including milk, eggs from their hens, produce from their garden, water, wine, beer, cookies, cheese, prosciutto etc. Before buying groceries, I would check in to see what they have stocked you with. A few things to note: the 2nd bathroom is only a half bathroom with toilet, no shower; the place is compact, particularly for 3 people, and the second room does not have a window; the air conditioning is only in the living room, which might matter in summer (but it’s a stone house so keeps relatively cool). Lastly, the place is 7 mins walk to the metro and a further 15 mins to the historic centre. Patricia gave us 3 metro cards, to be refilled. Tip: it’s hilly;use bus to go from river to metro

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Kraft-Tanken mit einem bezaubernden und gepflegten Grundstück. Manuela ist eine sehr freundliche und achtsame Gastgeberin. Wir waren mit 3 Freundinnen in dem 2-geschossigen Appartment mit einer Treppe, die für eine Freundin wegen einer früheren Hüft-OP nicht so gut begehbar war (das Appartment nebenan ist eingeschossig und wäre bei solchen Einschränkungen geeigneter). Unsere Freundin entschied sich daher für das Sofa im Wohnzimmer als Schlafplatz auf einer Ebene mit dem Bad. Damit kamen wir dann gut zurecht und danken Manuela sehr für unseren wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

Beautiful view. Bring groceries so you can stay at house and enjoy the view and pool. Take your time driving the roads. All roads have amazing views and lush surroundings.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à villa Gracinda. Tout était fidèle à l'annonce. Très bon accueil et très réactif lorsque nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit... Endroit très agréable et très paisible. Propreté rien à redire, bonne literie, nombreuses activités proposées.

Exactly as described, Sandra’s place was just what we needed to enjoy a small weekend getaway to Arouca. Lovely place with all you would need, that made us feel right at home. Loved the occasional visits from a neighbour cat that seemed to love pets. Would definitely recommend and/or come back in the future.

I spent my birthday at Dulce's house - it was truly a beautiful experience. Lovely countryside, beautiful weather, and Dulce's house was perfect for myself and 5 friends. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and restaurants about 30 minutes drive away. She also left us fresh bread and blueberries. A beautiful escape into nature, would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Vania’s house in Murtosa. The property is beautifully designed, with a charming mix of traditional and modern touches throughout the interior. Everything was spotless, and the bathrooms were particularly impressive—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Privacy was a highlight—this is a fully enclosed space, which made it feel like our own little retreat. The large carport was a bonus, keeping our vehicle secure .The area itself felt very safe and peaceful, with birds soaring overhead throughout the day, adding to the sense of calm. The outdoor BBQ area was a favorite spot, especially in the late afternoon when it caught the last warm rays of sun. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a meal. Vania was a fantastic host—friendly, proactive, and clearly committed to making our stay as comfortable as possible. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, private getaway in a beautiful setting.

Casa localizada em local calmo ideal para umas férias em grupo ou em família. Todos os quartos são suites, o que é um ponto positivo pela privacidade a nível de casa de banho. As camas são super confortáveis. A cozinha está muito bem equipada e tem tudo o que precisa a nível de eletrodomésticos (torradeira, máquina de café (delta), microondas, máquina de lavar a louça) bem como de louça para um grupo de 10 pessoas. Toda a decoração é muito bonita e pensada. O espaço exterior é amplo e bem arranjado, o espaço destinado à churrasqueira é impecável. É sem dúvida um local a visitar de novo!

A casa é super bem equipada e cuidada. Todos os quartos (os 8) têm wc. A Luisa é super simpática e deixou-nos fazer o check out um pouco mais tarde. O único ponto negativo foi a piscina ser partilhada com a outra casa, de resto tudo perfeito :)

Daniel and Katrina are already good friends. They are good people, easy to communicate and very helpful. They were impeccable in welcoming my family into their home. I highly recommend them!

This place is beautiful, with amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread, and lots of other treats. It was a real highlight at a time flexible to you. The gardens and surrounds are stunning as well as the pool & terrace. We stayed as a group of 10 mid 40s ladies and had a fab time.. just not long enough. The breakfast staff were lovely. The rooms with all their ensuite bathrooms were brilliant and the sound insulation was impressive. The host was also very informative and responsive. Don't hesitate just book it!

très joli endroit. c'est reposant, calme, on a bien profité de l 'immense jardin avec nos enfants et notre petite fille. tout est fidèle à la description du logement. la piscine était parfaite pour les fins de journée. on a passé un agréable séjour.

si tengo que encontrar alguna pega a esta estancia, serían los mosquitos. El resto fue todo estupendo. El anfitrión fue súper amable, estuvo pendiente y nos recomendó muchos lugares. La casa a demás de ser preciosa y de estar muy limpia también estaba llena de cosas a nuestra disposición. Hemos estado en muchos alojamientos y de varios países diferentes, y nunca habíamos visto algo tan completo y acogedor como este lugar. lo recomiendo al 100%, el precio es algo caro pero cuando llegamos entendí que mereció totalmente la pena. a nuestro perrito también le gusto mucho :)

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

Het in 2015 gerenoveerde huis is voorzien van drie slaapkamers, 3,5 badkamer. Het was een prima accommodatie voor een verblijf van een week om Porto en omgeving te bekijken. Ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk, zeer warm. Het huis beschikt over een prachtig terras, een (onverwarmd) infinity pool met mooi uitzicht over de vallei en Duoro en beschikt over een (schone!) Weber BBQ. Veel privacy om met je gezelschap buiten te genieten. 15-20 Mbps internet voldoende om je digitaal voor te bereiden op een dagtrip. Ondanks dat de brandmeldinstallatie niet helemaal stabiel was, heeft de eigenaar er alles aan gedaan om dit tijdens ons verblijf te verbeteren. Voor een verblijf net buiten Porto met rust en ruimte is dit een prima locatie.

Foram uns dias bem passados. O tempo ajudou. As crianças adoraram a piscina e o espaço. E os adultos também. :)

amazing - just absolutely stunning. the house is homely and spotlessly clean. the land its on is second to none, fruit trees everywhere; kiwis, limes, oranges, apples. the host was super responsive and helpful. big supermarkets 15 mins away, easy access to porto. a wonderful stay and an amazing trip. obrigada!

Idéalement situé pour découvrir le nord du Portugal. Une très belle maison bien équipée aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Abel est un hôte fort sympathique et plein de bons conseils.
