The best Airbnb I’ve stayed in—hands down. Tucked in the serene hills of Shimoda, this cozy home is a peaceful retreat just minutes from the beach by bike. From the gentle breeze that rolls through the trees to the tranquil stillness of the evenings, everything about this place invites calm. The home itself is warm, welcoming, and impeccably cared for—perfectly blending comfort with charm. The area is breathtaking: quiet roads, lush green surroundings, and a sense of timeless beauty that’s hard to put into words. It was such a wonderful experience to stay at this traditional house. We are group of 4 and the size of the house was perfect. Can even accommodate more people to sleep on futon on first floor. We also got free tickets for nearby onsen (3min drive). The area was quiet and tranquil. But keep in mind that the wall was original Japanese style so you would hear your friends snored in the other room. I would love to stay here again next visit.

The Host's wife was very gentle and took the initiative to pick us up.The accommodation is on a hill, with a big slope, you can see the sea from the terrace of the house, perfect for a holiday.

The room was renovated, the whole thing was great, and the host was very welcoming.The surrounding area is very convenient for transportation, access to the station and bubble hot spring bicycle.The lack of the United States is that spiders, large and small spiders were always found during their stay, and the geckos were randomly refreshed outside the window. The combination of the two was terrifying, fearing the caution of insects.
