A home away from home! Our last three months in this place were just wonderful! Upon arrival, we immediately felt comfortable – the premises are furnished with a lot of love for detail and radiate a cozy atmosphere. But the best part was our hostess: warm, helpful and always there for us. From an initial hospitality, a real friendship has developed that has made our stay unforgettable. We were also impressed by the community in the village – after just one week we were integrated and felt part of the neighborhood. If you are looking for a place to stay that not only offers a place to stay, but also a real home away from home, then this is the place! When we booked to stay in Dierfeld, the AirBNB algorithm said it was a "rare find". I have to say that after six days staying there, we all felt the same. The location is stunning - the German version of a country house, situated in acres and acres of its own woodland. There are more communal units in the rest of the house but this apartment feels completely private. You have your own, large, garden area with various tables and seating areas, as well as a fantastic hanging barbecue over a fire pit - which we ate from every night. The apartment itself has high ceilings and large rooms. Be aware, as the description says, that there is one bathroom and toilet. Also that two of the rooms (which we didn't use) open onto a landing which leads to the owners' apartment downstairs. A final mention for the owner. So proactive and friendly - taking me on a quadbike ride to see the swimming lake on his land, and then turning up with air rifle and setting up an adhoc shooting range for the kids!

Beautiful Airbnb in a very quiet area. Comfortable beds, modern bathroom and kitchen and a private balcony. Communication with Gerben and Susan is also very pleasant. Highly recommended!
