Beautifully Updated Cosy Cottage

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed one night in this beautiful cottage to attend a friend’s birthday party in the next village, so were in the property for less than 24 hours, but it had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and they have made great use of the space in the property, including a little dishwasher and fold-away dining table. I would recommend the property to family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at Earl’s place for the weekend - great base for the wedding we were attending! Great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and super hosts who left so many little touches - especially the cake, thank you!

And loved the morning talks... inspiring. (let not even mention the extra help I was given when.facing last minute issue on evening). Heaton Rise in rural Aberford

Alison's place exceeded my expectations and was much bigger than I had imagined. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and with loads of kitchen equipment and a lovely outlook onto a small but charming garden. It was a great location for me to stop overnight travelling down the M1 but I could happily have stayed there for much longer and explored the surrounding areas. Alison was really helpful with information on where to walk my dog. Would love to stay there again.

Sandy’s place is in a lovely quiet spot in Wetherby, walkableee to the town center but without the traffic. The house itself was exactly as described, clean, easy to check in / out and the information from Sandy was perfect. Would stay again next time I’m back in Wetherby

Cosy 'Pumpkin Cottage' in rural village setting

MelanieRating, 5 starstoday
This is a wonderful cottage, it’s walking distance for a drink at the local pub and there are plenty of walks for the dogs, and local things to do to keep the children entertained. It’s quiet and private and the host makes the home feel really cosy. There are so many thoughtful gestures making you feel extremely welcome in this home. We would not hesitate in staying again. Everything was perfect.

Stunning Hall Cottage, near York and Leeds

AliceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Edwards place and loved the fact we had full use of the tennis courts and walled garden which meant the dogs could be let off and there was no risk of them getting out. There was a stag head in the corridor of the property which was not on the photos. My daughter has a phobia of taxidermy and was not comfortable walking past but after speaking to Edward, he was more than happy for us to put a blanket over it - problem solved! Whilst the property could do with a few upgrades including new mattresses in the smaller twin bedrooms, a lot of other things were to be expected when considering the age and character of the property. The property is ideally located for gaining access to local transport links to York and surrounding areas plus there is a dog friendly pub The White Swan all but a 6 minute walk down the road which again made things very convenient. We will definitely be staying at Edward place again perhaps with a larger party of friends/family.
