Vacation rentals with lake access in New Zealand

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Kristin’s house was a welcoming and lovely, quiet sanctuary with everything we needed and plenty of room — we enjoyed it even if the midst of Cyclone Tam. Looking out over the lake was beautiful, and playing table tennis was an added bonus!

The house is in a great location and the rooms are spacious enough. You can see Taupo Lake from the living room. The only minor drawback is that the towels provided in the bathroom are not clean enough. Some turn yellow, while others are covered in dust. But our family still likes it very much and we live happily.

Thank you, Trent, for sharing your beautiful home with our family! The house was cozy, well-appointed, and perfectly located—just a short walk to town and only steps from the lake. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially at night under the stars. Trent was incredibly responsive, and his manager, Tania, was equally wonderful. She even dropped off some games for the kids, which made for a fun and memorable family game night. We truly appreciated the thoughtful touches and hospitality throughout our stay. This is an awesome home. Well furnished and the kitchen has every item you need to cook up a feast. Very spacious and the swim in the river was great. We will be back one day.

We love the place, it was what it looks like on the photos. Just looking at the view outside the house is amazing and the house is spectacular in all aspects. Perfect for this time of Easter where we dont do anything and just bond with the family and be at peace with nature. Terri was very responsive to my text. Our communication was seamless. Very nice experience. Location is convenient, room is clean and tidy. Have all cooking facilities we need also a dishwasher.

Incredible views, walking distance to coffee shops and close to many restaurants and everything we could need. A great starting place for day trips. But also so close to local attractions.

The place is close to Queenstown airport, restaurants and easily accessible. It's just few steps away from the famous Boatshed restaurant of the Queenstown. It's a good place to stay with family The host is responsive and cooperative. During the stay , had some issues with the sink The host fixed it immediately in the middle of Easter holiday. Will stay again.

Sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Sehr gut ausgestattete, gemütliche Unterkunft über zwei Etagen. Schöner Ausblick auf den See, zwei Terrassen. Bei sternklarer Nacht waren die Milchstraße und das Kreuz des Südens sehr gut zu sehen.

Fabulous stay in Rob’s house. Beautiful, quiet location on the lake in a very comfortable, warm house with all we needed. Highly recommend.

Wir sind bei untergehender Sonne nach Ohau gekommen-einfach so umwerfend schön, wir waren auf dem Weg schon völlig begeistert und das schöne Haus hat alles abgerundet. Wir hatten wirklich tolle Tage dort und wollen unbedingt eines Tages an diesen magischen Ort wiederkommen-vielen Dank an Clare.

Lovely spacious and comfortable cottage. We found it an ideal place as a base for further exploration of Central Otago. Highly recommend.

The love shack was a gorgeous secluded spot that is perfect for any type of getaway! The hosts were so delightful and had no hesitation with allowing us to charge our EV ,which was so helpful! The love shack itself is beautiful, a very modern decor and it is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need! We will definitely return!

We loved our stay! Was wonderful to be able to tie up our boat at the jetty and visit the hot pools. A very comfortable stay, and the kitchen was very well fitted out for cooking. Was also a great little walk to the cafe. Beautiful views and native birds. Alec was a great host and really appreaciate his great proactive communications. Would love to stay again.

Beautiful lakefront cottage with incredible views and a quiet and private location. This home is older but clean and well-maintained. There is no central heat or AC but the space heaters were effective. The host provided lots of information about activities. The house is located about 35-45 minutes to Mount Cook National Park and Lake Tekapo, 7 minutes from Lake Pukaki retreat (stargazing) and 15-20 minutes from Twizel with shopping and restaurants. The house was larger than expected with 4 twin and 1 larger (queen or king?) bed. Checkin was easy, kitchen was well-equipped and our stay was great.

This venue holds so many special memories for us. Even with the not-so-great weather over the long weekend, it was still the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy time with our loved ones. Huge thanks to Christina and David for sharing such a beautiful place!
