A lovely little spot to stay in for the night. Private and quiet space with also a small hot tub to take a dip in. They were extremely nice and provided us with a small tour of where we can find everything. They even gave us some food to feed the alpacas and we were lucky enough to meet a little baby one! Very happy with our stay for the night!

Cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay in the dome! The space was so cosy with incredible views of native bush, and views of the mountain not far away. Lisa and Jens were awesome hosts, really really kind and quick to respond to our questions and queries. A 10/10 long weekend away, such a beautiful spot in an even more beautiful region!

Pohara is a brilliant spot crammed with gorgeous beaches, caves, a waterfall, stunning scenery and is super close to Takaka township. The Dome is a great wee space hidden away in the bush where you’re close enough to eateries and a supermarket etc to get anything you need but it feels totally peaceful and a part of nature. The bush shower is so cool, nice and hot and the dome is spacious and very well appointed. I struggled a bit with the composting toilet but it’s perfectly functional and just part of the experience! We spent 4 nights here in early March and recommend it to anyone who wants to really immerse themselves in nature but still enjoy their creature comforts :)

We had a wonderful stay at Lizzy’s dome home. It’s tucked in the peaceful countryside about 20 minutes from Rotorua—close enough for town activities but far enough to enjoy the quiet beauty of rural NZ. The dome is super cozy and unique, with a fireplace and heated blankets that kept us warm during a chilly, rainy April visit. Lizzy was such a thoughtful host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We were even welcomed our first night by a herd of cows just across the fence—such a sweet surprise! The real highlight was waking up to the sunrise over the rolling green hills—truly one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in all my travels. Though our stay was short, it was incredibly memorable, and we’d absolutely love to return.

We had an amazing stay! Waking up to the beautiful view and watching the sunrise was truly special. The bed was super comfortable, and the dome felt so cozy. The location is a bit remote, but absolutely worth it—highly recommend! We really enjoyed our first glamping experience. 😊💗

This is a "must stay" destination - a truly magical setting with drop-dead endless vistas - the Geodeisic Domes were luxurious with views to leave you breathless - you won't want to leave, whether you want to just sit on your own deck taking it all in and watch the everchanging shadows and sun on the hills and mountains, take a glorious outdoor forest bath, listen to nature, sit in the swing looking at the stunning view, eat breakfast in the wonderful communal building with stunning rustic decor or just cuddle all 4 gorgeous dogs that Amber & Patrick have esp Jock, the beautiful border collie or Bess, the 18yr old heading dog. Patrick & Amber are delightful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them - living the dream! Stay there for the night or even 2 - you won't regret it. We will definitely be back - miss it already 🥰

We absolutely loved our stay at the Dome, even during Cyclone Tam, it was cosy and warm and felt very safe and secure. Was lovely listening to the rain. Cleared in the morning to a beautiful view. Would absolutely love to stay here again. Loved the cute little kitchen, loved the shower and toilet! Had everything we needed. Thank you for our lovely stay
