Living in a listed building! Built in 1794, this half-timbered house is the oldest surviving building in Hamburg's Neustadt district. The building, which was extensively renovated in direct cooperation with the Hamburg Office for the Protection of Historical Monuments, looks back on a long history in Hamburg. It is located near the so-called ramparts directly on the border to Altona, which was still the second largest city in Denmark at the time. From 1806 to 1814 it was occupied by Napoleon, and in 1842 it withstood the great, devastating Hamburg city fire. At the end of the 19th century, the small house was inhabited by 4 tenants and has survived 2 world wars to this day. The detailed restoration took place between 2017 and 2024 and today you have the opportunity to rent this special gem as a vacation home. With contemporary building services and a well-equipped kitchen, you can experience the historic flair of living in a completely new way. We are renting a 95 square meter spacious and quiet apartment in the countryside, in close proximity to Hamburg and the Lüneburg Heath. In the immediate vicinity are the museum village "Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg" and the "Wildpark Schwarze Berge." In the village there is a supermarket and a bakery within walking distance. Designated hiking and riding trails as well as bike paths start right outside the front door. Both Hamburg city center and Lüneburg and the Lüneburg Heath can be reached in 30 minutes.
