Monthly Rentals in Naoshima Island

This house met all our expectations: having a Japanese experience in a typical home. Kenshiro was a remarkable host and took care of the transfers to the train station. We found this ideal place as a place to stay to visit Teshima and Naoshima Islands

Eclectic, quirky and definitely memorable place to stay. This is not the place for you if you like faceless corporate style. Brett is a friendly host who is keen to help and engage. The use of electric bikes made the location easy and we had great fun visiting local islands Naoshima and Teshima. Uno has a very nice onsen. Our favourite memory of the house was sitting outside listening to all the different bird noises.

Alan and Reiko went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ease certain travel pains. We were celebrating a birthday and they were kind of enough to arrange a cake from the mainland, they helped us locate a camera left on the ferry, they facilitated a bike rental, they gave us rides when we needed them, the list goes on. We were lucky enough to eat at their newly opened restaurant, and had the most incredible meal - probably the best we have eaten in Japan thus far! This is to say nothing of their lovely property, which is sublime. We stayed in the queen villa and were able to look out at the beautiful garden foregrounding the sea and sky. The historic buildings were breathtaking, with modern touches to ensure our comfort. I especially enjoyed the espresso machine in the mornings! I look forward to someday returning to this incredibly beautiful and peaceful spot, thank you Alan and Reiko for a memorable family birthday weekend!

The stay at Yuki & Goro's home was fantastic. The typically traditional house is welcoming and equipped with every comfort, clean and furnished with care in all its parts: we immediately felt at home and we would not have wanted to leave. Yuki was a perfect host, friendly and proactive in giving advice on the island and where to eat. He also delighted us with a great breakfast to start the day in the best way possible. The house is a short walk from the port of Ieura and it is easy to get around from there to tour the island, on foot or by bicycle. I highly recommend the apartment and hope to be able to return in the future!
