Cottage vacation rentals in Nairn

We stayed here a few days in May. The Cottage is very remote, but you can reach the next village in arround 10 minutes by car. It offers great views of the surrounding area. the hot tub was amazing. Also the fireplace. we came to do some hikes and in the end decided to stay a whole day in the cottage, because it was so great.

This place is amazing. Great location to travel around the highlands. Every drive is more beautiful than the last. The donkeys are the sweetest and the cows are so nice to hear and very curious. The little produce stand had eggs and potatoes to purchase which was great for breakfast before adventuring out. Nice walk into town to the pub and deli, even got to meet Percy the local peacock. Everyone is so very friendly. Robert shared local spots and even where to visit the hairy coos nearby. I am glad we booked this little oasis before the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh. Such a beautiful little get away with so many little hidden gems nearby! Was quiet 24/7 and we loved the peace and the amount of sun the garden and hot tub got. Such a cosy cottage and made us feel at home straight away, worth the drive! Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

The house was wonderful - we were delighted with both the location and with the property. The house was immaculate, and beautifully furnished with some really lovely pictures and objects throughout. The rooms were all good-sized and bright with the kitchen/dining area overlooking the garden a real standout. It was very well maintained and it felt like a proper home from home. The location was really lovely too - nice and quiet with a very short walk to the beach. We particularly enjoyed our walks around the area and along to Chanonry Point to look for the dolphins. A local pub and a lovely restaurant were close by too which was a bonus! Our host, Eva, provided us with clear and concise information prior to our arrival and messaged us a couple of times during our stay to make sure that all was in order. This was very much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the property to others, and we certainly plan to visit again!

Lovely place , super clean with everything you would ever need for a short/long stay .super responsive when messaged too ! What a great place ! Only issue is parking on and off the drive can be super tight due to the neighbours parking outside the drive other than that what a place !

Beautiful location - clear directions supplied by the host. Local pub serving good food within a 5 minute walk. Cottage itself was clean & within a quiet location. There is a hot tub in a separate building available at an extra cost - was also clean, ready to use with a plentiful supply of towels . Would recommend for a couple looking for a weekend away interested in walking or exploring the surrounding areas

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

We stayed here on our trip to the Scottish highlands, a wonderful place with incredible hosts! I really cannot recommend this enough, everything worked, there’s a hot tub and a sauna right in front and a magnificent garden that the owners walked us through.

This is a quaint little place just outside of Inverness town center. It was easy to get around for all of our activities and had everything we needed. The canal is a lovely place to walk and watch all the dogs pass.

I used Louise's place as my last Airbnb on a hiking tour I did of the Highlands and I felt so lucky to have done so. The bed was the most comfortable I slept in for 3 weeks and the whole space was so quiet. I was very grateful I chose to stay in Boat of Garten and not in Aviemore (way too busy). Louise was also exceptionally kind and friendly. Also, having a full kitchen with washing machine for clothes was a great way to "return to civilization" after all my hiking. I would be very pleased to stay here again.

What a lovely cottage! The bed is particularly comfy and Michelle has made a special effort with decor and details to make you feel at home and cosy. There’s a beautiful garden at the back too and she was really friendly and accommodating and I felt happy that brown dog also felt at home. Thanks for a lovely stay. Matilda and brown dog x

Wow – what an absolutely stunning seaside getaway! This vacation home was everything we hoped for and more. It was incredibly comfortable, super relaxing, and just had the perfect vibe for a peaceful escape. We especially loved the beautiful kitchen – cooking there was a real treat – and the view from the first floor? Breathtaking! Waking up to that every day was pure magic. We had such a wonderful time and felt right at home. We’re already looking forward to coming back – without a doubt, we’ll be returning! Thank you for such a memorable stay! 🌊💛

Pristine! A really great spot, two minute walk to the restaurant and Culloden Battlefield site. A very special place and we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds and the house had everything we needed - exceptional.

It was an excellent property. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the property. Inverness is just 10 minutes away . We wish we could have stayed for more time . We will definitely be returning 🙂

Always adore staying at Owl Cottage. This trip was cut short due to poorly pooch but will definitely be back.

John's place is just incredible. We spent 2 nights here and had a lovely stay. The kitchen is well stocked. The washer and dryer work well. The cottage has so many personal touches, definitely an A+ for comfort. The fresh flowers and champagne left for us just added to our delight with the place.

A beautiful cottage. A perfect kitchen and a cozy living room with a log burner. We couldn’t have asked for more! Karen was responsive and easy to deal with. Highly recommend this house.

Fantastic cottage on the edge of the beautiful town of Strathpeffer. Fabulous surroundings and easy reach to the glorious highlands. The cottage is in excellent condition and very well equipped although we only used the kettle!! Comfortable inside and a beautiful sunny garden makes this a best value Airbnb in the area. Highly recommended

Great place to spend a few days close enough to the main centre but felt more secluded and private. Sheila was a great host not intrusive but always available if needed. Was great to have the little.amenities on arrival bread butter milk coffee etc. Definitely worth booking if looking for somewhere in the Moray area that is private but walkable to the town centre.

What a great place to stay. The hosts were wonderful and communicative. When we had a slight problem with the fire. they came and helped immediately. As soon as we entered, felt right at home, and then extended an extra night. Everything is in the pictures and it’s actually better. Great location for just walking and being at one with nature, even in the rain. One suggestion is the TV is very small and was challenging to watch TV. I think it would add a little bit more for a bigger TV specially on rainy days.

This cottage is one of a kind. What a beautiful and authentic Scottish home and surroundings. Yvonne was very responsive when we needed her. Incredible stay!

Beautiful Croft in an amazing location surrounded by a loch and stunning gardens - definitely recommend.

We stayed here for three nights and felt very comfortable in the lovingly designed house. We were very pleased with the food provided for the reception, which allowed us to take a nice walk directly from the accommodation along the Murray Firth on the evening of our arrival. Recommended!

Kinkell Castle cottage is a beautiful hideaway in the grounds of the renovated castle, with views over the valley to the mountains beyond. Beautifully presented with outstanding comfort and Artwork to enjoy.
