昌子さん and staff were amazing! they took good care of my vegan diet and we were able to communicate via Line at all times. The place is beautiful, the onsen peaceful, and the surroundings are just something else. I totally recommend and would come again if I ever want to ski or trekking in Japan

Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

This beautiful traditional ryokan is something perfect and I will never forget the sinplicity and beauty of this place. Clean and quiet, with a beautiful garden with a pond and fountain. The lovely lady who runs the ryokan drove us to the snow monkey park and picked us up from the park to drive us to the train station. A forever memory in our hearts.

We had the best stay at Shayne’s place. It is in such a great location. A short and beautiful walk around 10 minutes and you’re in town. Shayne was an awesome host, super helpful with recommendations and transportation around town. A really welcoming place, with a communal feel making it easy to make friends. Would definitely stay here again!

6 stars This is a classic locally run Japanese hotel known as Kofukan. Firstly, they don’t write messages on Airbnb. Just book and go. When you arrive at train station, tell taxi “Kofukan” ¥700. On checkout the hotel gives you free ride back to station. Two staff speak English decently, but all staff are so polite and kind, it is a classic Japanese ryokan and gives you authentic experience how locals travel, host and stay in Japan. Highly recommend. The onsens are amazing, very clean and fresh water, hot. They give robes called yukata to wear around the hotel, and the rooms have hot water ready all the time for tea, such a nice amenity. The tables also have extra blankets for cold weather, the room has space heater. They offer delicious Japanese breakfast and also dinners. Nearby you can walk to the local restaurants in the small town. Honestly if you are coming to Myoko this is the place to stay. Tip: frozen Sakura sweets across the station in souvenir shop. (Let thaw)

This was the most amazing stay I have ever had. Yoshihiro-san and his wife were so accomodating, friendly, and helpful - everything was taken care of from the very start. During my short stay, Yoshihiro-san took me to visit a beautiful open air onsen, out for delicious local ramen, and gave me a beautiful walking route to see the slopes in the morning. They also cooked the most delicious breakfasts and dinners I have ever had - thank you so much, I hope to come back and visit one day :)

The accommodation is very well located, clean, breakfast is very good with a baggle or a homemade muffin every morning. Hikes are a short walk away

Really great place to stay. Staff were fantastic, room was nice and location perfect. To top it off, they have the best restaurant in town.

It was a wonderful stay, surrounded by nature, with great views, space, and the owner's hospitality.

The stay is very comfortable and very happy. The host is very enthusiastic. Chinese food is really delicious!We also wanted to order two dishes, but the free meal was so good and the portions were very warm enough for a homestay. We went because we didn't say in advance that the boss came to pick up and tossed it for a long time, the boss sent us to the station.

Expectations all exceeded. Warm and cozy common area was perfect for quiet reading and drinking tea next to the wood stove. We really enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts and dinners while having a chat with visitors from around the world. Staff hospitality was excellent; professional and friendly, offering warm greetings and help with carrying bags. Location at Madarao made for an extremely convenient powder day; driving to Nozawaonsen and Kurohime from there was easy enough.

I'm satisfied.There were other people staying here, so I thought it would be even better if the door and window keys were a little more firm.

The owner was very kind and made our stay comfortable.I made a mistake with the number of people booked, but I appreciate their flexibility.　 Also, the view from the terrace was nice and it was nice to be able to make a fire.I will stay again when I visit Kobuchizawa!
