Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mystic, Stonington

This was a truly beautiful home that was perfect for our week along the coast of Connecticut. The home was impeccably clean and setup with an amazing bathroom and kitchen. Set in a peaceful area north of Niantic, it was a perfect place for my family and I to head out to many coastal adventures. We had close access to Mystic and New Haven with a short road trip to Newport. Jason and Colleen were wonderful hosts and have setup their place amazingly easy to get in and utilize. From the available bikes in the basement to the games my kids quickly found to play, this was a perfect place for us this week. Highly recommend to others looking for a great CT coastline getaway!

My main search was for a pet friendly rental so I could invite friends with a senior golden retriever. And secondly I wanted to be near the ocean. Having lived on Cape Cod for 25 years, I moved back to Connecticut a year ago after the passing of my wife. But the call of the ocean never fades and this rental was steps from East Beach. My stay was in February and the weather wasn't the best, but beach walks are always best when the only footsteps in the sand are your own. The rental was very accommodating with 3 bedrooms, a spacious living area and large, fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of outdoor seating is also included. Melissa was very attentive and always responded quickly when needed. I definitely recommend this rental for a peaceful adult retreat or for a full family vacation. Kids will love it with the big yard and kayaks available. Enjoy, John

We had a wonderful time! Joyce’s place was just as she described it. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were a group of seven adults and there was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy our stay.

This home was so beautiful- I think even better in person than the photos, and the photos are already beautiful. We felt so at home, Cathy was helpful, responded quickly for any questions I had, gave lots of information on the area and recommendations for food/coffee. Highly recommend!

This lake house was absolutely beautiful! Brought my girls there as a little get away in preparation for my wedding day. Jhismery was responsive so quickly and so accommodating with some questions I had. Stunning view of the lake and the house had this homey feel to it. I would book it again as a weekend getaway again!

Beautiful and easy little cottage, lovely porch with wonderful big swing to nap on with the pup, luscious huge lawn to feel space and privacy, and absolutely beautiful lake view, easy rock step into shallow section to launch our floaties and Wayne’s paddle boards. Easy living with picnic table and great Weber grill, and second small fridge in the boat house. A keeper!

Tonya's home was beautiful, relaxing, and very clean!!! The king bed mattress was hard but very comfortable. The area was very peaceful and relaxing. The lake looked beautiful however the weather wasn't conducive for us to use it. I would love to return when the weather is warmer to be able to enjoy the fire pit and boats that Tonya made available. My daughter and I brought our 14 month old with us and the house was perfect and safe for her to run around and play.

Beautiful tranquil home and in a great location . Friendly gracious hosts. Would definitely stay there agin.

Staying at Robert’s place was such a great experience. The property was beautiful, and the surrounding area was calm and scenic making it feel like a perfect getaway. Robert was super responsive and easy to talk to, which made everything smooth from start to finish. It was really nice meeting him in person—he even greeted us in Swedish and gave us a little tour of the place, which made us feel extra welcome. We look forward to come visit again to explore the area more!

Becky is a wonderful host, the bungalow is airy, sunny with large windows that all have a view of the lake with a variety of birds to watch. The outside sitting area is great for morning coffee. We took a relaxing walk around the lake which is butted up to a state park.The surrounding towns are a must to visit especially Chester, which is my favorite. We will visit again !

We really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and convenience to local eateries. The home was very comfortable and plenty of room for us. We will definitely stay again.

My daughter and I had a great stay at Kathryn's place! Kathryn was exceptionally responsive and helpful. The place was very roomy and comfortable with large bedrooms, a full kitchen, large living room area, and lots of games/puzzles/activities for entertainment. Location was great as well - private yet close to local amenities.

This was a great, family-friendly stay and the perfect airbnb for our little family to spend a few days exploring the local area. The space is quite large and the playground in the back was a huge bonus for our toddler! The house was also immaculately clean. It’s in a perfect location to easily get to a bunch of surrounding landmarks and beaches. Michael was super friendly, very welcoming and proactively communicated about things to know for our upcoming stay. Couldn’t ask for anything more! We will be back!

Josephine's place was spotless and super historic. The kitchen had coffee and everything you need it was an amazing stay. It was was just a few minute walk and drive from downtown Mystic. We will def be back again. It was a perfect relaxing few days there. I recommend her place to anyone wanting to stay in CT.

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

Place was amazing! Had a comfortable and peaceful stay. Is a beautiful home and close to everything that is needed. Loved how private it was and how clean everything was. Highly recommend.

Great lakeside retreat! Perfect for our small family!

Great find! Hidden cottage away from the road, with lots of space to sit indoors and outdoors. Master bedroom spacious but missing blinds, make sure to bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in! Enjoyed our stay!

Kevin was very communicative from the start. He met me at the door and gave an accurate lay of the land. The cabin was the perfect rustic place for our trip. The lake view was amazing and waking up to a beautiful sunrise and having coffee on the deck was an amazing way to start each day.

Second time staying at this location. Very well equipped (has everything one needs for the stay -- all basic pots/pans and utensils, olive oil/salt/sugar, trash bags/kitchen towels and more). Great perk in booking with airbnb was that the price included bottled water, s'more kit, 3 packs of firewood and starter (which in total was about $50+ worth when purchasing at site). Clean cabin, spacious beds. Although all the cabins around were full, it was very quiet. We stayed at the two-bed cabin and it worked great with our two young kids. Overall, a very easy escape from the city!
