We came up just for a long weekend to watch the Pen-y-Ghent fell race. It was a family regroup so needed to be close to the railway. The cottage was lovely, had every we needed and everything worked. The hosts communicated everything we needed to know in good time and warmly which was much appreciated. There was plenty of information about the local amenities and had a lovely Father’s Day meal at the Bridge Inn in Tatham. The weather was a bit changeable which was a shame because I bet you can see a lot of stars without all the light pollution we get down south. It didn’t hurt the experience at all and we would definitely book again. Just need better knees to explore the locality. Thanks Alison and Simon for a lovely stay.

Lovely house, great views, within 30 mins drive to all main south lakes sights. Communication and check in all very easy and clear. We had a great stay :)

This was a beautiful cottage with everything you could need and more😊 Location was good just a 10 min walk into town Mason pub was really nice food and staff were great 😊 Would definitely return was a lovely stay 🥰

The house was spacious, clean and well maintained. Excellent facilities in the kitchen. Lively white fluffy towels plenty of hot water. Excellent instructions in the manual.

Had a lovely short stay at The BoatHouse. Views were absolutely stunning and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The beds were super comfy. The work next door was a little noisy at times but we were pre-warned and to be honest it didn’t bother us. Just beware to close the blind in the bathroom as the crane provides a direct view in! Please note that you need to bring your own toilet/kitchen roll for the accommodation otherwise everything was extremely well stocked. Would definitely return!

Absolutely lovely location on the end of a private road with farm animals and fields surrounding the property with a gorgeous river tracking down the valley adjacent to the property. Highly recommended

What a fantastic place. This is a must visit cottage if you need a place around the Preston area. Helen is a wonderful host who answers questions quickly and leaves clear instructions for your visit, and provides advice on the local places to visit. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you need for your stay. It is set in lovely surroundings with the added advantage of a passing cockerel and beautiful peacock that you can watch from a lovely area where you can sit outside in the sunshine. The location is very secluded. Helen and partner ensure your stay is comfortable and go the extra mile to leave you some chocolates, some bread and milk in the fridge for a brew. Thoroughly recommended.

Peaceful comfortable flat with a garden view. Bowness town is only a couple of hundred metres away and has lots of options for food and things do. Lovely clean kitchen and sparkling new bathroom and the most comfortable king bed and linen. Peter is a fantastic host and very responsive when contacted. We really enjoyed our stay at Scotty’s

3rd time staying at this lovely Georgian ground floor apartment with Tina being a fantastic accommodating host. Absolutely in the centre of Clitheroe, but yet so quiet & tranquil with reliable, secure parking. The accommodation was great for us as all on one level with 2 big bedrooms, each having separate shower room, one en-suite. It is so well equipped and you feel very at home when staying here. From this accommodation you have such easy access to so many lovely places to visit for eating, drinking, local towns, National Trust halls, breweries, famous sausage shop, great pie shops, trough of bowland, pendle hill & many more lovely places .….we will be returning.

Ray and Sue were extremely responsive throughout, they met us and showed us around the apartment. They were very friendly and advised if we needed anything else we could reach out to them. The apartment was exactly as described, clean, loads if room, and we had very comfy beds. We had every item required in the kitchen, plus juice, milk and chocolate biscuits in the fridge which was a lovely gesture, plus tea, coffee, and sugar. Everything was to hand. We had a great stay, I would definitely recommend this accommodation, and our hosts Ray and Sue were brilliant. Thank you so much. X

Enjoyed our stay at Kate's place for a second visit. Has all the amenities we needed and we can feel very relaxed there. Kate was very helpful with our booking. She dealt very promptly with one minor maintenance issue. She's a thoughtful host and there were fresh flowers, milk and biscuits to welcome us. We enjoyed chatting to Kate. Jay's Nest it's a great place to stay. Friendly hosts, convenient location, close to the centre of the village and many beautiful walks on the doorstep. Perfect base for those who wish to explore Lake District. The flat has home from home feel. The kitchen has all essentials and no need to wash up, dishwasher does it for you. Clean, working washing machine with dryer if needed. The seating area very cosy with nice views through windows, you can relax after a long day walking. Big bedroom with comfortable bed and plenty of space for storing your gear/clothes etc. Again, super clean, couldn't ask for more. Fair size spotless ensuite with good size shower. Plenty of space to keep what you need in the bathroom. Sadly, due to the weather, we were not able to use the outside area where having a morning coffee or evening drink must be super enjoyable. It was our first time in LD and we will be back to Jay's Nest, that's for sure. Needless to say, we highly recommend Jay's Nest!

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

What a fantastic place to stay. Thank you Wendy! 35 years after we were students at Lancaster University, our reunion was made even more special by being able to stay on Meeting House Lane. Clear instructions, well located, a discount at the aromatic bakery below - smells greeting you each morning - helped make a weekend to remember. I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. The mill is stunning - beautifully restored and tastefully decorated with everything needed. A real home from home. Beds were comfortable and bathroom spotless. Walk into Kendal took around 20 mins with some good pubs and shops in the town. My daughters and I throughly enjoyed our stay… Some noise from children in lower apartment early in the mornings was the only slight negative… Highly recommend the mill.

Really impressed with the apartment - it had everything you needed for a stay… very comfortable, clean, relaxing and home from home. The hot tub was lovely and easy to use. The views were good and the Farmyard Brew beer in the barns opposite was excellent as well as the food bar and live music. All in all an amazing stay. Will definitely return.

As described. Great having a parking bay. We did book very late, but thankfully everything was ready for us. Good location, 10 minute walk to the centre.

The Hideaway was a beautiful, peaceful and perfect setting for us to celebrate our anniversary, made all the more special by Fiona’s very warm welcome, outstanding hospitality and helpfulness, providing guests with everything you might need. One of the comfiest and largest beds we’ve ever slept in; lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen; all very clean and with many thoughtful touches throughout. Huge bonus to have many perfect spots to sit and relax in the garden and absolutely love the ‘hot chocolate hut’! Great walks from the doorstep, super path to Kirkby Lonsdale and loads of places to visit and eat. Thanks Fiona for a really lovely weekend and a beautiful and very generous welcome basket - we look forward to returning as a weekend was far too short to enjoy the area and the Hideaway!

This was by far the best place I stayed while travelling in the UK for 6 weeks. Fiona greeted me on arrival and showed me how everything worked. She also made some great suggestions for local walks and cafes. The apartment is spacious, with modern decor and spotlessly clean. The host has provided everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It’s located within a few minutes of the shops and within walking distance to the buses and trains. Although it’s close to everything, it’s tucked away down a laneway so it’s extremely quiet and private. I highly recommend this apartment.

Really lovely wee place - gives a really clean vibe as soon as you walk in. Everything you need is there, but it's not at all cluttered for the space there is. Garden was great for the dogs! Only stayed 1 night as passing through on our way further South, but would definitely stay again if making a similar journey. Thanks for a lovely, clean place to stay!

Paul's place was absolutely stunning in a lovely area, away from the noise, but very close to all the possible amenities. Lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, close to the lake and many different attractions. It was so nice not to have to worry about parking and just walk everywhere. The place itself had everything you might need. Lovely balcony, beautiful views, amazing garden and lots more. Host itself made sure, that we find everything easily and provided us with recommendations about the area. We had a wonderful holidays and can't recommend this place enough for the future guests!
