Chalet vacation rentals in Montvalezan

Overall: Came for a winter skiing week with 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone was very satisfied with this very nice chalet -- but prepare yourself for some low ceilings. Pros: Larger than we were expecting. Split toilet and shower helps with larger group. Lots of places to dry your wet items. Area outside for kids to play in snow with toys and sled(ge)s available. Sheltered picnic table just outside the front door. Able to borrow a variety of cooking equipment for making local delicacies. Extremely helpful host. Beautiful interior and exterior. Cons: You WILL bump your head on the large ceiling joist over the beds in the 3-bed room. No matter how much you think you have learned where it is, you haven't. On the last day while packing achieved concussion level impact with this joist, despite a week of experience. Other low areas such as over stairs could be an issue for a taller person. Garage has limited space for accessing vehicle and we parked only half into the garage.

Let me start by telling you this place is absolute gem 💎. The view of Mont Blanc will be the highlight of your trip. It is literally breathtaking right from the house. The Jacuzzi was awesome. The town is like a ferry tale. You will be very fortunate if you book this place. I’ve been all over the planet and this is one of the coolest locations I’ve ever stayed.

We had a great time at Alain and Sandra's! The apartment is beautiful, everything is in accordance with the listing. Very clean and nothing missing! Alain and Sandra are very friendly and responsive. The location is ideal for discovering the Beaufortain! I would 100% recommend it! We'll be back! :)

The Barillon cottage is in a green setting, lulled by the gurgling of a nearby spring and birdsong. The place, after a winding climb, is extremely peaceful and quiet, far from the din of the city and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The view from the kitchen and terrace is well worth the climb! The cottage is equipped with all the comforts you need and the stove is there to warm up wet and cool days even at an advanced time of the season! For walkers, a few walks at the foot of the chalet, otherwise easily accessible by car. We had a great time! Plus, the hosts are lovely and attentive...

Great stay!!! A beautiful mazot in a green environment, what a view!!!!!! Directly on Mont Blanc!! The owners are exceptionally kind, their hospitality is wonderful. They are full of good advice as well as Nicole for all the needs of everyday life. We can only highly recommend this place, pure happiness.

Excellent stay spent in this chalet perfect for 5/6 people. Comfortable and well appointed with a great view of the Mont Blanc from the living room. The road nearby in winter can't be heard at all because the glass window is very well insulated. Things to see in summer on the other hand. Be careful in winter if it snows a lot because the accommodation is located at the top of a path so chains or snow tires essential in case even if we did not have the use this week. You can do anything on foot or by car. There was just a small pipe leak that made a little noise at night in the large room downstairs but will be repaired in the spring. Stephane was always here to answer our questions and was very welcoming. We recommend this property!

We had a great extended weekend with friends in Catherine's cottage. Quiet with a magnificent view of the valley, the chalet is ideally located 15 minutes from the village of Saint Maurice and the 1600 arches. We particularly enjoyed the sauna with views of the mountains, in the evening after the day of skiing. Thanks again Catherine for your kind hospitality!

We loved our stay here. The house is so well set up for a family or friends spending time together. We used it as a base for skiing (many stations are accessible in 20-30 mins) but we loved the evenings in the house. Absolutely lovely kitchen/dining/entertaining space and four great bedrooms in a beautiful secluded location with amazing views. As mentioned on some of the reviews this is a converted wooden building without sound proofing between the floors but this didn’t diminish how much we loved the place. One thing to note if you are visiting in the winter - the house is 10 minutes up from the main road up a fairly steep hill - we managed to get our long wheel base VW van up and down easily enough but make sure you have good winter tyres and snow chains if required.

It’s better than the photos. We had an amazing stay with 6 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of space for everyone. The common spaces were perfect for spending time all together but enough room for everyone to spread out. The kids and adults had a blast in the pool soaking up the views. The views are really something special. Julien was a great communicator, always quick to respond and willing to offer local recommendations and tips. We’ll be back!

Charlotte’s place was perfect for our stay, for our daughter’s wedding in Les Houches. The chalet is decorated with taste and has beautiful features in every room. It is well equipped and very homely. Charlotte gave clear and detailed instructions and responded promptly to messages.

Great stay for a team building with our team! Ideal location close to the foot of the slopes of Les Houches. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at Thomas’s chalet-the chalet has everything we needed for a holiday as two families with children. There is plenty of space for everyone, it was very clean and the bedrooms were all super comfy. The views from the chalet are fantastic and it’s very peaceful. The ski bus is only a couple of mins walk from the chalet (although worth noting that the bus timetable isn’t great with only a few buses a day so a car makes it easier to get into town). We would recommend this chalet-by far the best AirBnB we’ve stayed at!
