House vacation rentals in Montreat

We enjoyed our stay! The space fit our needs for 5 adults and we enjoyed utilizing the backyard space.

Our family had a lovely stay at Stephanie’s home in Black Mountain. It is well-stocked with essentials for families with small children. The house was very clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. Beds are very comfy. We enjoyed being walking distance to the lake and a short drive from downtown. Stephanie was proactive and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

It was lovely, the communications with the manager were perfect and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Linens could use a little refreshing, however.

Great location, great setup, everything that is needed on a trip was there.

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

Very cozy and comfortable home. Black Mountain is a charming small town with great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended. Did not really interact with Evolve beyond the welcome email. I did communicate with the owner a few times who was great. Very friendly and helpful.

Great place, clean, close to town, great accommodation!

I had a little trouble getting in with the keypad, but that is probably more about my lack of knowledge with keypad entries. 😂 The home was spotless when we arrived and we filled it with lots of laughter and fun! The back deck was amazing - even in a gentle rain. And, our last night there we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Mike and Cate were INCREDIBLY helpful and communicative. They answered every question within minutes and made us feel well taken care of. Departure was easy and they requested minimal prep for departure. They made staying at their home easy and comfortable. 👍

We loved our stay! It was quiet and in a lovely location. The house was super clean and we felt at home. It had everything we needed for our visit to the area and plenty of space to work remote too. There was a power outage when we arrived and for most of the evening and Jessica was very responsive. We enjoyed visiting some local places like cat cafes (Cats at Play Cafe & House of Black Cat Magic) and breweries (Whistle Hop, Turgua and Highland). I love to thrift and can recommend the Asheville Humane Thrift Store.

We stayed 13 nights doing relief work from Hurricane Helene. Long days, but Elaine’s place was a welcome respite to come “home” to at the end of the day. Very comfortable, well-stocked kitchen & home. Elaine has thought of everything! Super responsive, too. Definitely at the top of our AirBnB stays! Thanks, Elaine!

What a wonderful weekend in Black Mountain! The weather was perfect! We loved being able to walk to restaurants, shops, tennis, and the lake! We have been to this house before with our pups and plan to go back. The host is so nice and responsive and checks in just to make sure we are comfortable!

We loved staying at the Burley Stick Farm House. It was a perfect home base for exploring the local area for some first time visitors to the region. It was super close in proximity to the venue of the wedding we attended. We loved observing the wildlife - turkeys and cicadas - and felt very welcomed and at home. The house is super cute and comfortable - perfect and exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway.

This house is adorable! It feels safely tucked into a little neighborhood. Drivable distance to Asheville attractions but the little town of Black Mtn where it is has all I needed for shopping and dining. I come to the area several times a year to visit friends. I will definitely rent again.

We had an amazing time on our family vacation with 2 toddlers! The host was so proactive before we even got there we had no questions and check in/ check out was seamless! The house was so clean and the yard was great for us to relax in and the kids to play! We will definite use greybeard again!

We had a great stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect—just a short drive to downtown and all the fun spots. I had a small issue with the door lock app when we arrived, but the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, and we were able to get in quickly. The outside and yard area were a little unkept, but the inside of the house more than made up for it. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay again!

If you love Montreat this house is ideal. 2 min walk from the Post Office and 5 min walk to the playground. The house itself is nestled in the mountain and decorated well. I had an easy time communicating with the host and plan to stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Canopy House! The sauna was a perfect way to unwind after exploring Asheville, and the saltwater hot tub made for relaxing evening soaks. The house felt tucked away in a quiet, secluded neighborhood, yet was conveniently close to Asheville. The Bela and Spencer were incredibly polite, helpful, and quick to respond to any inquiries and check-in/out was a breeze. Every detail of the home was thoughtfully designed—the décor was truly picturesque. A peaceful retreat with all the right touches!

This spot had maybe the most character out of any place we've stayed before. We'd absolutely plan to stay here again when we make it back in the future.

What a great place! I thought it was spacious, clean and perfect for our needs (performing at a Black Mountain College Museum event). I mean, there is a hot tub! Perfect! Nathan is super communicative and even sent me my forgotten raincoat. Thank you! Would absolutely book again!

This was a very cozy and neat place for a mediumish sized group. Lots of room in the living area and kitchen. It is also 20 min from Asheville, making it a great location.

Felt right at home! Very clean and close to downtown! All of black mountain lost power and I reached out to the host and they were able to bring us candles as well as checked on us multiple times to make sure we were okay, GREAT HOSTS! Came for our honeymoon and was greeted with a honeymoon basket! Will definitely stay here again! Definitely recommend

Visiting my disabled brother with my 92 year old mother has its challenges, but staying here was just what we needed. Quiet, with everything we needed: took the worry and added stress away. My mother enjoyed making herself right at home and appreciated the art and little details. We will be back!
