Family-friendly vacation rentals in Monterey County

This was the perfect place to stay for a golf trip. We had plenty of space and everything we needed for our trip. The house itself had plenty of space and the scenery was gorgeous. Definitely looking forward to staying here again soon.

Great place! It’s a pretty quick walk to get downtown. The place is well maintained and very clean. The hot tub is fantastic! Best of all Karen and Jim are great hosts that put in many thoughtful little touches to help guests feel welcome and taken care of. We had a great time and would easily recommend this place to anyone

We loved that it’s in the middle of no where. Everything about the place/location was beautiful, sunrise, sunset, watching the stars at night. It was peaceful, no one around just us. The home had lots of amenities. He reached out and made sure we didn’t have any issues, which we didn’t. Our family really loved the home/scenery! We took small hikes and explored as well. I recommend this place!

Pamela’s place is absolutely perfect - stayed here for a weekday getaway from the Bay Area during our son’s daycare spring break. The place is very comfortable and there is so much to love: all the natural light, the fireplace, comfy couch & bed, wide array of board games, fluffy robes, the hot tub, beautiful porch, two guest passes to the aquarium (huge perk!), the book collection, reading nooks…I could go on and on. Pamela is so kind and greeted us upon arrival and has a great list of local recos and books about the area. If this is available, look no further!

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. It's a little bit off the beaten path which is a double edged sword. Restaurants are a 10 minute drive give or take. Not the end of the world but just something to be aware of. All in all, a quiet lovely home which is just what we were looking for.

Fantastic views! Comfortable beds. Close to the beaches & restaurants. Easy parking in the cul-de-sac. Sunny location above the fog. The outdoor patio has a gazebo for relaxing naps & reading was a bonus because you never have to leave the house to enjoy the views. My bedroom had the best view while in bed. The views are great during the day with views of sailboats all the way to the point. Couldn’t take our eyes off the sunset. With 3 large flat screen TVs, everyone was happy. Between both living rooms we had plenty of space to stretch out. Susan also recommended Chopstix nearby for Vietnamese that was super delicious. Cannery Row & Fisherman’s Wharf was a convenient close drive. The chef in our group liked the gas stove.

Excellent location and beautiful home. Carmel coast estate was very communicative and helpful with any questions. Would definitely recommend this home or any others that Carmel Coast manages. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. Cant wait to return and explore the beautiful area.

Thank you for the local recommendations. We tried several restaurants on the list and all were great. The local access to Zils Beach was a highlight so thanks for making sure we knew about it!

Our stay was perfect for a weekend visiting the Pinnacles. The home was cozy and quaint. We loved visiting the tasting room after a day of hiking and the staff were incredible. Carli was a lovely host, and easy to get in touch with.

This place was great! Close to freeways and food spots. I liked that the bathroom was separate from the 2 bedrooms! Would definitely stay here again

We enjoyed our 2 nights at Tom’s cabin. All instructions were clear and everything listed were accurate. He was very friendly and available for questions too. We will stay there again when we go back to Carmel!

Alexa and her place was amazing. Great location, beautiful property with an amazing garden. It’s a big neighborhood but we were surprised how quiet and peaceful it was at night. 15 minutes away from Monterey and Carmel and beaches. Very thoughtful as well. Had a high chair and lego blocks for our toddler. Very happy with our stay.

We were on a road trip and decided to take a drive on the currently open northern stretch of Highway 1. We hadn't planned to stay in the area but thought we'd see if something was available. I found Erin's cabin on a Monday and was able to book it for two nights starting that Wednesday. Everything was ready for us and the instructions were impeccably clear. Let me just say. The photos absolutely do not do this place justice. The cabin itself is modest. It has everything you need but it is very much a cabin and it's not trying to be anything it isn't. That said, the whole property has a wonderful, breathtaking charm that the pictures simply can't capture. The word of the day when we arrived was "enchanted". The property is partially enclosed on one side by a fence and on the other by a sheer canyon wall, covered in ferns, moss, and redwood trees. It was the perfect base camp to explore more of Hwy 1, geek out with my camera, and just kick back and gaze into the canopy.

Janice’s apartment had gorgeous views and was a short walk to a lovely and walkable beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to make easy meals and the whole place was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

We have been coming to Pajaro Dunes for 37 years. Our family loves it. This house needs some attending to. In one of the downstairs showers, the soap dish on the wall was broken. You need to be VERY VERY careful. My nephew cut his thumb and needed to get stitches. I was told I could check in before the rain started, but the office hadn't unlocked the house on their end. I had to drive back to the check in office and ended up getting wet while unpacking the car. Not the end of the world, but a little irritating. It took quite awhile to figure out the space heaters, some did not work. Kitchen pots and pans need updating - bring your own!! We had a great time and lots of great memories continue for our family.

The cabin was so pretty. They even have their own trail which was awesome. The sauna was a cool experience. Overall I would 100% go back!

My family of 5 had a wonderful time this past week for spring break! Our three boys (ages 9, 5, and 3) loved sleeping in the loft. They also enjoyed playing ping pong by the pool, and the playground. This was a comfy, cozy getaway, and perfect 'home base' as we explored nearby Big Sur and Monterey. We hope to return! Thank you!

We loved every moment spent in this house ,especially the cats , the house was very comfortable, clean and cozy, I would definitely recommend this house .
