After renovation of the Chateau de Candeze dating from 1480,located in one of the most beautiful villages in France,we have rehabilitated the lower part of the castle,to make it a 100 m2 apartment with private access on one of the most beautiful streets of this medieval village. Quiet,rest,freshness awaits you in,inside or old paving, stone vault,old doors,antique furniture create the decor. Spacious apartment with a large family room. You will have access to a big adjoining park.

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Numerous activities: swimming in the Tarn, gabarre cruise, hiking, multiple tours... wine tasting in the surrounding vineyard and at the Maison des Vins... You will enjoy its large garden without overlooking neighbors, the shade of its oaks, and the local wildlife (birds, squirrels...). The calm of nature will recharge your batteries. Its park, its private beach with direct access to the river offer many activities: swimming (progressive water level), fishing, canoeing (at your disposal). Nearby hiking trails will offer you nice walks.

Features a large covered terrace (30 m²), with barbecue, hotplate and large plancha. Direct river access, ideal for fishing. Motorized boat (2.5 hp) available upon request at time of booking. Pets: allowed. In June, July and August, bookings are for a minimum of one week from Saturday to Saturday.

This charming peaceful accommodation, 20 m2, offers all the comforts in the heart of unspoiled nature. You will enjoy a private Nordic bath, many hiking departures in front of the house and an ideal location in the heart of the Bastides Albigeoises circuit. The independent chalet is located on our 7000 m² plot of land adjoining our house.

In the heart of Cathar country, in a small village of Tarn, we rent a cottage in an agricultural area, isolated and on the edge of a private forest, with beautiful unobstructed views of the countryside and the medieval city of Cordes-sur-Ciel (ranked "Favorite French Village" in 2014) less than 10 minutes' drive away.
