Vacation rentals with a kayak in Monroe County

Awesome host and home. Susan was really warm and her home was great for us given we need a place to stay for swimming champs. She shared recommendations of places to eat and we felt at home. Hopefully, if her place is available next year, we will Definitely be coming back!

This was my second time at Toms place - clean, in the heart of everything, and he is just such a great host. Makes you feel at home when you're away. I would highly recommend his place if you're looking for a place in Fairport!

We were enchanted by Dans lake house. And found it worth every penny. The bed is comfortable, heater works great and the scene is very laid back. The hotels in the area seem to be of the same roadhouse quality, and we are very happy that the cottage was exactly as described. If one is to pay for a hotel it only makes sense to give to an individual instead of a thankless corporation. It is now on our list and we plan on utilizing his chefs table service in the future. Our family stayed here in late December. The beds were comfortable and it was wonderful to have easy access to a washer and dryer. More than enough supplies such as detergents, trash bags,basic kitchen supplies, etc were provided. We have stayed in Airbnb when some supplies for a week were insufficient for example trash bags. The close down when we left was so easy and not demanding. Elizabeth our host very pleasant and check-in was easy. i have to brag about the comfort of the beds and yes, the pillows which were plentiful and comfortable. The kitchen area and the living room area provided great space for our family to relax and visit and prep and share meals. The fireplace was a nince and warm touch to this community area.    I would like to emphasize the beauty of the lake view from the house was spectacular  and the sounds of nature in the morning when outside on the patio were peaceful and relaxing. We were very happy with the cleanliness and appearance of the home. The view was outstanding. The decore was interesting and fascinating. We loved exploring it along with sitting on the deck watching the activities on the Erie Canal. We thought the sound of the trains would interrupt our sleep but, on the contrary, it was a comforting sound that lulled us to sleep. We would definitely stay there again.

Had the most amazing stay for my wife’s birthday! The property is absolutely beautiful, we had amazing views for our morning coffee and really enjoyed going for a walk to see the baby geese, ducks and swans. The beds were very comfortable and the house is was immaculate. We ate at Hose22 restaurant the first night and had tavern 19 pizza the following which were both delicious. Wish we had more than just one weekend here and will definitely be back!
