When you stay with Fulvia you feel like you are a long lost relative coming for a visit! The surroundings are calming and picturesque and the home has a wonderful history as a restaurant. The house is very warm and inviting and spacious but maybe not good for those who crave minimalism. The AC works well and although there is no pool, the hot tub became a nice cool soak at night. She gave us a cooking class which was a wonderful experience and she arranged the menu around our likes and dislikes. She also had great recommendations for towns to visit and places to eat and also organized a wine tour close by. She and her family live on the ground floor, but it still feels private in the outdoor areas. We stayed there after a few days in Florence on our way to Rome and it was half way in between, so it was great location to visit towns on the way in and on the way out.

Absolutely amazing place and Elettra is ready with recommendations on everything and also offered to take on one of the trips she talked about. Cheap and really amazing place up on a small mountain. You have to drive to everything, and you don't have to get in a large SUV because the roads are small. Our Volvo XC90 had to back up and give way quite a few times.

For our family vacation, three couples and a 1-year old, the place was perfect. The ability to spend the heat of the day in the huge pool or inside the refreshing lodging made the stay excellent. The place is close to groceries, pharmaceuticals, restaurants, local sites, cities, etc. Ken was always responsive to whatever issue we brought up and his quick replies were greatly appreciated.

There are not words for our wonderful stay at Daniele and Barbara's house. It's a whole family affair, with both parents taking care of us and the house. You can tell they all have the kindest souls and did their best to make us feel welcome and at home even with the language barrier! The house was very clean and had a beautiful view - I've never seen a more beautiful sunrise, honestly. The driveway is steep but we made it up just fine in our 9 passenger van. It is easy to find and it is very easy to access the downtown area. There are a lot of grocery options nearby and restaurants, as well. We tried to take the train one day but couldn't find parking - just a warning if you plan to do the same (though with a smaller car, you might be fine). The house is very close to some good wineries and easy to access Greve in Chianti, which was a nice visit. The house itself had very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and nice water pressure in the showers. I would recommend this stay to anyone!

This place is simply amazing and Simona is probably the best host you can find, she makes you feel like a family friend and not just a guest. She made quite q few recommendations (even after leaving her place) that really made a difference. The house, the restaurant, the staff, the surrounding area, the swimming pool, everything is like coming out of one of those films that makes you want to go to Tuscany, so authentic and aesthetic. All the details are carefully looked after and this place makes you feel exactly as you expect when you choose Tuscany. Thanks a lot Simona, we really enjoyed these days and we expect to come back in the future.

The loft is beautiful. If you are going to spoil yourself this is how to do it. Space to enjoy outside on a terrace overlooking Florence. A lovely space to sit and watch a fire upstairs or go down for a swim in the eco pool. Lots of loving attention has been put into this place and it shows. The bathroom was the best we have encountered on our travels in Italy. Thanks for making this space available and loving it as you do.

Such an amazing place. On the top floor with beautiful views over Siena. Lucia stocked up the refrigerator with water, juice boxes & beer and the cupboards with some light breakfast toasts, jam & Nutella. It was quiet and peaceful, no need for the earplugs we always carry. There are 4 flights of stairs to climb to get to the unit.

We delighted in our stay at Marcelo's place. His and Donna's renovation of a medieval, in-town house is impeccable. A substantial degree of professional interior design is evident in the minimalism, yet all works flow historically. The lower-level spa and sauna are hedonistic yet blend beautifully with the rustic ambiance. The technology underlying the works is largely absent from view - yet functional. The first floor features a kitchen which will not disappoint an avid chef. The sitting area is minimalist but softened by clever, "soft" upholstery choices, cushions and comforting throws. Selective sculpture and objects d'art complete the picture. The surface treatment of walls is superb, as if revealing centuries of habitation in layers, each agreeing with one another in terms of tone and pallet. The rendering and paint work is first rate. For the aesthete and practical traveller alike, Marcelo's place offers a considered, curated view into the past embraced by the present.

While looking for a place to stay it’s often difficult to choose. If we had known how fabulous this place was it would have been a no brainer! We all agreed that this is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in on all of our travels. Massimiliano was a delight and so personable. He made excellent suggestions one being having a cooking lesson. If you have a chance ask for Francesca! The BEST! One last thing…we left with amazing recommendations for the next part of our trip. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Poggio al Vento is absolutely stunning. The accommodation is set within a working vineyard and olive farm on the Tuscan hillside. It doesn’t get more picturesque than that! The accommodation has everything you’d need to be self-sustainable, while keeping the Tuscan feel (beams, tiled floor etc). Roberto is an excellent host - he made us feel part of the family from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. We’d highly recommend a vineyard tour and tasting - great value and the perfect insight into how his wine is produced. Short journeys to Pienza, Montalcino & Montepulciano, among others, will keep you busy in the day, then settle down to a bottle of wine, overlooking the vines it came from - heaven!

We visited Florence for a week and this was the perfect place. The co-host Rachele was very responsive and friendly. She helped us almost immediately when we had trouble with hot water or using the washing machine. I would definitely recommend this place and host. Great walkable location with a safe and clean feel.

Aurora was a very responsive host and accommodated any needs we had. Place was as listed. About 30 min to downtown by bus. Be aware of the last bus back to the air bnb as we missed it and had to buy a taxi back. Overall a good place to stay if you want a peaceful stay outside of the city.

What can I say.. Matteo was amazing. He went above and beyond nothing was a bother to him. He offered his services to collect us when we arrived by train, took us to the supermarket and even gave us a short tour around the area n village. On our departure Matteo again picked us up and took us to the train station and took all the worry of us working out how to get there. We were there for a wedding and stayed 7 days. Defiantly need a car to get around but if you dont and want to just chill you can definitely do that as well. It's a beutiful little village. The cafe and restaurants were so friendly you felt welcomed. If didnt live so far away would be back again . Defiantly recommend 👌

This was a great stay. You can't beat the setting. It seems isolated but a quick 15 min walk and you're in the historic center. The house is very clean, and had all staples. We stayed for 4 nights with 2 dogs and would have been happy to stay longer. The house is also VERY WARM and cozy, and if you live in Italy you know sometimes that's hard to come by in December - it was great! Hot water and wifi worked well (I had to work part of the time). They also gave us firewood to use the fireplace which we loved. Rosanno and his Mother are very sweet and accommodating. Definitely on the list to revisit, without question.

The experience in Castiglione del Lago, thanks above all to the nice apartment, was beautiful. Antonella is a delight. You immediately feel that hosting is a great passion for you. In addition to providing us with a wealth of useful information, we had the pleasure of having a chat. He is always helpful and kind. Two words about the apartment: in addition to being on the main street of Castiglione, it has a beautiful view of the lake and a fantastic garden, which unfortunately we could not fully take advantage of because of the weather, but you can eat outdoors in total tranquility. We will definitely be back!

Sergio's place is fantastic and Sergio is a great host! I almost don't want to say how wonderful our experience was, for fear it will be hard to get in the future. The location is walkable to anywhere you want to be in Florence. The apartment is spacious and having two bathrooms was convenient. Sergio was incredibly responsive and just gave you the sense he was there to make your trip great. This was our first time to Italy and it is going to be hard to find places in other locations that live up to the standard Sergio and his place set.

David’s home steps from the Arno was perfect. It was clean, had all the needed amenities, and was the perfect location to explore both the city center and the Oltrano. The little private square was a nice break from the bustle of the surrounding streets. We would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic time at this apartment, it is as grand as it looks in the photos!! Very comfortable beds, lovely lounge area. Great location to dry out after getting soaked in the rain! Excellent location, two minutes from lots of very good cafes and restaurants and a daily market in the square. Easy walk to the main centre and 5 minutes from the Pitti Palace! Elly communicated throughout and made sure we checked in safely as our flight was delayed. We would definitely stay again!

This little hamlet was ideal for a group of several families wanting a Tuscan holiday. Christina was a very responsive host, always available for help and suggestions. One down side was the distance from many of the Tuscan attractions such as Florence and Sienna. The hamlet is reasonably remote so is ideal for those who want a secluded holiday rather than those who want to see the sights of Tuscany.

We were guests of Wim for a special occasion and our stay was well beyond expectations! The villa offers a spectacular view of both the mountains and the lake, it offers a beautiful pool with deck chair available, a large green part where you can relax and many beds to spend time together!
