Best Location-Steps to Beach-A/C-King Bed-Garage

Randy’s place was fantastic. It was as described and depicted in photos. Randy was a great host. He was very accommodating and accessible. The place was comfortable and clean. The living space/kitchen/dining area was great for our group of 6 adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and quiet. The location was amazing. One small block to the beach. The grocery store and coffee/bars are so close. We used the bikes, Prokadima and beach chairs. Such a great place for the price. Thank you Randy for sharing your place with us!

Title: Great Value, but be Prepared for Noise I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had an overall positive experience. The location was fantastic—easy to find, and it was conveniently close to local attractions and restaurants. The host was responsive and friendly, making the check-in process smooth. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Considering the price compared to other options in the area, I felt it was a great value. However, one thing to note is that the property is in the flight path for San Diego airport. While this wasn’t an issue once I fell asleep, the noise from the planes, neighbors, and outdoor sounds made it a bit challenging to get to sleep on the first few nights. The walls seemed a bit thin, so I could hear quite a bit of outside noise. Overall, I'd recommend staying here, but be prepared for the noise—especially if you're a light sleeper. I’d suggest bringing earplugs to help with the no

Overall, we had a great stay! The location was fantastic for exploring San Diego. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The host was also very responsive and helpful. The only minor issue was some noise from the freeway nearby. It wasn't too bad, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Despite the freeway noise, we would definitely stay here again due to the excellent location and overall value.

The place is exactly like the pictures in the post. Very clean, quiet, cozy. Only a few blocks away from the beach. There are good restaurants in the area. Very easy access to SeaWorld, Zoo, Old Town and Sunset cliffs with a car (less than 15mins drive). Alessandra is a great host! She is super responsive and helpful. She gives detailed instructions which made it much easier to check in and settle down. I highly recommend to stay in this AirBnB. Will definitely come back again!

Jesse was extremely proactive in reaching out to me to confirm my early arrival request. He was very clear with his directions and instructions and prompt to respond when I reached out to him. The unit was exactly as described and not only checked off all of the boxes that we had, but included some additional bonuses. Great value, right off the beach, first floor, washer and dryer included, with two parking spaces. That is pretty much unheard of in that area! Should I need accommodations in San Diego again, I will absolutely reach out to inquire if Jesse's place is available again.

Jeff’s place was in a great location in the middle of San Diego. The place was immaculate. He obviously is serious about the upkeep of his property and the happiness of his guests. I contacted him that we would be arriving pretty late on our first night so he made sure to leave the light on for us. Entry was always easy with the electronic locking system. Water pressure in the showers was awesome and we wanted for nothing. Thanks Jeff!

Characterful North Park Entire House in the Heart of Town

JasmineRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Spent some time here with family and our dog in between Christmas and new years and had the best time! Great location near the hub of north park and morning walks for coffee were fantastic! Only downside I’d say is that a tree next to the driveway has some roots that have lifted the concrete and our rental car scraped every time getting in and out of the driveway, even going slowly. Besides this, was a fantastic stay!!

Your guide to Mission Beach, San Diego

All About Mission Beach

The Mission Beach neighborhood of San Diego, spanning just two miles of oceanfront, is a laid-back waterfront playground whose very history is grounded in fun. In 1925, an entrepreneur — credited with building San Diego into the bustling beach city it is today — decided an amusement park was just the thing to lure people to the Mission Bay area. Belmont Park featured thrill rides alongside a 60-foot saltwater swimming pool where famous celebrities swam. The park has changed significantly since then, but still draws crowds today. But wait, there’s more: The neighborhood is also home to a popular beach and Mission Bay Aquatic Center, the largest manmade aquatic park in the nation. The fun continues into the night, as revelers flock to local bars to partake in the neighborhood’s thriving nightlife.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Mission Beach, San Diego

In general, you can expect warm, sunny weather in the 60s and 70 degrees Fahrenheit nearly year round. However, from May to August it’s not unusual to experience marine layer — gray clouds, especially in the morning, which locals call June Gloom. From September through February you may experience Santa Anas, warm winds that can gust up to 100 miles per hour. Pack a sweater or light jacket to guard against winds or cooler evenings.

Top things to do in Mission Beach, San Diego

Belmont Park

Belmont Park has been modernized over the years, but rightly retains the vintage charms of a classic oceanfront theme park. Its crowning glory is a wooden roller coaster 75 feet tall at its highest peak that rockets screaming patrons at 48 miles per hour. Built in 1925, the coaster underwent an extensive upgrade in the 1990s and has since landed a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. The park also boasts modern thrill rides, as well as a carousel, bumper cars, an arcade, and midway games.

Mission Beach

Flanked by a two-mile boardwalk populated by joggers, inline skaters, and cyclists, and set against the backdrop of Belmont Park, vibrant Mission Beach attracts surfers and loungers in equal share. Nearby South Mission Beach offers volleyball courts as well as courts for a quirky sport that is sort of like softball on the beach, played with teams of three, and Mission Bay hosts a world championship every year.

Mission Bay Aquatic Park

Carved out of wetlands and marsh, the 4,235-acre manmade Mission Bay Aquatic Park accommodates just about every water activity there is. Surfing, paddleboarding, waterskiing, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, and wakeboarding are all offered here, with equipment available to rent. Let your dog run free at an off-leash dog park on sand dune-covered Fiesta Island, where you can also find bonfire pits and picnic tables. If you’re not feeling sporty, tap into your inner mermaid and take a lazy dip in one of the designated swimming areas with alluring names like Enchanted Cove and Leisure Lagoon.
