Beach house vacation rentals in Mindelo

Liliana’s home is perfect for a family holiday. We had mixed age groups and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom is good for older generation with easy access. We were by the beach for walks and nearby was a cafe and restaurant for evening meals and morning coffees and cakes. We got Ubers into Porto which were very easy to get and reasonably priced. You can have busy days in Porto and quieter evenings in the house in Gaia which suited us perfectly. Liliana was a fantastic host who organised a cab for us from the airport. Any questions we had she provided quick answers and helpful tips. I would definitely recommend the house and host. Just for info - We took a bus tour in Porto for 48 hours would take the bus to the point closest to the house and grab an Uber from there which worked out cheaper.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruca’s place with our family. She was extremely helpful and friendly and we felt at home right away. The house is located literally on the front of the beach and there is a back door giving access to the beach. The place is spacious, the garden big and neat. Ideal for families. Everything was great, we were met by a very friendly and nice woman who showed and explained everything. The accommodation is excellent, everything is as in the photos. Very comfortable, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nearby, the ocean is making a very nice noise. The view is beautiful too. Recommend.

Even before our arrival, she proactively contacted us and shared all the important information with us, which made arrival and orientation on site much easier. The house not only fully complied with the description, but exceeded our expectations: It was spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We recently enjoyed a delightful week-long stay with our family at this enchanting house in the heart of Vila da Conde. The property's romantic outdoor architecture immediately sets it apart from the surrounding homes, creating a truly charming atmosphere. As a group of adults with children, we found the house to be perfectly suited to our needs. Located next to a small city park with a playground and cafés, the house offers easy access to local amenities. Historical sites and museums are within a short walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. The spacious interior, including three bathrooms, was a major plus, and the outdoor pool, seating area, and grill provided ample opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa dos Olivais! Exactly as described—clean, cozy, & fantastic location. As beautiful as the photos are, the place is even more breathtaking in person. All of the amenities were great esp. it being so well equipped for cooking. If that isn’t your thing don’t worry there are some nice food spots a skip away. The place was very clean, bright & helps to completely unplug if need be. If you’re considering, book it! You will not regret the experience. Leading up Afonso ensured we had details needed for not only a seamless check in but had great advice for places to eat, on parking & gave appropriate heads ups for other practical aspects. Notes: Those booking & renting a car parking is not immediately outside but it was easy enough to find free spots close by. There will be a little bit of a walk on cobblestone if you’ve got luggage. Overall, it was a fantastic experience & we didn’t want to leave. I would definitely recommend it to others looking to stay.

We had the great pleasure of renting this home during our stay near Porto and we can say with a clear conscience – this is one of the best places to recommend. There is simply no other such house in the area. The perfect combination of comfort, privacy, and climate – something that's hard to find even with more expensive listings.

Beautiful property with even more beautiful grounds! Eusebio's place is very peaceful, with a big pool, flat yard, and beautiful plants everywhere! The home was perfect for our family of 3. We loved exploring this remote area, as well as driving to Viana do Castelo to shop and eat.

Wow I really enjoyed the stay. The place is impeccably styled and is very conveniently located. The host is awesome and we were fed a daily supply of crazy amount of bread and pastries. What is not immediately clear from the photos is that the place is in a vicinity of a big port, but that is actually a very interesting view to see so we're more than enjoyed the stay and would totally come back again.

We had a lovely stay at Francisco's beautiful home. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with all that a family of 6 would need. Our kids really enjoyed the lower level playroom and the outdoor space and pool. The hosts shared local recommendations and even provided a few welcome treats and wine which we appreciated. Francisco was extremely responsive and came by within minutes when we had a question about something in the house one morning. The area is quiet but on the outskirts of many of the sights of downtown Porto. Something to be aware of if you're looking for an area that is walkable or closer to the activities around town. You will need to Uber (minimum 10-15 minutes) to get to most nearby Porto attractions. Great house and pretty decent location if you don't mind being a bit further away from the city center.

The house was perfect for our family holiday. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and there was a supermarket only 3 minute walk away. Parking was easy in the street in front of the house or in the driveway inside the gate. The kitchen dining area and living area were perfect for relaxing and family meals. The kitchen had everything we needed. All 5 bedrooms had their own bathroom which was super convenient. Great place to stay with a large group or family.

Unreal house, great location. A must stay!

Our stay was ́tima. José's feedback was excellent so we could make the reservation and provided all the tips. The house is very functional, well decorated and very comfortable and is about 300m from the beach. It has the very well equipped kitchen and at about 200 m we find a butcher, a fishmonger, a bakery and supermarkets. The promenades next to the beach allowed you to take a good walk and get to know the Mindelo ornithological reserve, restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Too bad it was such a short stay! We will return for a longer stay.

Susana and her family are perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We had a fantastic week with our grown up and teenage sons there. The villa and outside areas are extremely spacious and so clean. With older children, this extra space was invaluable. There was even a ping pong table to keep the boys busy too! It is so well equipped overall and the outside BBQ is great. The local area is so beautiful and we used a great local surf school in the mornings. The beach is very accessible and it was good to have off street parking in the villa, as the beach is a popular local attraction so the there lots of visitors to the area during the day. But this just makes the beach more vibrant and interesting. We made full use of all the restaurants and the small local shop, where we ordered daily bread and picked up essentials. A big thank you to Susana for being so helpful and flexible throughout the week. We would highly recommend a anyone to book this holiday home.

Exceeded high expectations! A truly beautiful accommodation, and a very short walk to a stunning beach! Our host, Manuel, was friendly, proactive and welcoming. My friends, children and I had such a wonderful stay and made many lovely memories here. We'll definitely return!

Friendly host, very smooth communication. Very spacious house with a large garden. Quiet neighborhood, hassle-free parking in front of the door. Play area for the kids. Nearby, outside the beach and the sea, there is little to do, but there is an easy train connection to Porto. Recommended!

The house is very nice and comfortable, full of light and exactly as in the pictures. It is also nice to have a space outside to seat down and relax in the sun. The position is great, steps from the beach in a quite residential area but also close to the city center which can be reached in 20/30 minutes with the bus. Ruben is a very welcoming host always eager to help. Communications with him were always smooth and he was so nice to offer us a late check out. We absolutely loved our stay here!
