Myoko Guest House Bunk | Premium Room

SarahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay in Myoko was made absolutely perfect thanks to our incredible Airbnb host, Sasa! From the moment we booked, his communication was prompt and friendly. He picked us up when we arrived late to Akakura Onsen during heavy snowfall! The accommodation itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed after long days on the slopes. The location was ideal - just a 15 minute walk into town. What truly made the experience special was Sasa’s warmth and hospitality. He went above and beyond, providing a delicious breakfast every morning, drive us to a different ski resort every day and pick us up in the afternoon, gave us so much advice and help, and one of the members of our group injured his knee, Sasa very generously would drive us into town for dinner as he couldn’t walk anymore. It felt less like staying at an Airbnb and more like visiting a friend’s home. We left Myoko with amazing memories and a deep appreciation for Sasa’s kindness. We HIGHLY recommend!

Myoko Guest House Bunk | 2nd Triple room

AmeliaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had an amazing stay at Guest House Bunk in Myoko! The rooms were spotlessly clean, including the bathroom and the Onsen, which was a perfect way to relax after a long day on the slopes. The whole place had a great vibe—tidy, comfortable, and well-maintained. Sasa, the host, really made the experience memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes. He was incredibly flexible, dropping us off and picking us up at the ski resorts every day, which made our lives so much easier. Another big plus was the ample storage for ski equipment. The drying room for wet gear was huge, and everything we needed was there to keep our gear in top condition. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Myoko—great location, fantastic host, and excellent facilities!

Myoko Guest House Bunk | 3rd Triple room

Sansasan is the most warm, accomodating, gracious and dutiful host I have stayed with. He worked so hard during our time there, and he always had a smile on his face. He cooks a delicous breakfast and shuttled us each way from the mountain along with a pickup and drop off to Myokokogen train station. His lodge is well positioned to everything, and if you find a chance to walk, it is only 15mins to the central restaurant area. The lodge is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with lovely views of forested snow scenery all around. The room is comfortable and warm. We found ourselves enjoying being at peace, that we could easily stay in relaxing. Everything about the lodge makes a snow trip the most pleasurable possible. We would love to stay again on a future trip. Thank you Sansasan for such a memorable vacation.
A serene room is showcased with two twin beds dressed in white linens and floral comforters. Natural light filters through shoji screens, illuminating the wooden floors and tatami mat. A ceiling light fixture offers additional lighting, and a standing fan is positioned in the corner.

Yusan and Shigu have created a fantastic guest house and you are treated like family. They are incredibly warm and a lot of fun. They are also fantastic cooks and helpful guides. I met quite a few people staying there that return every year, because its such a gem of a place. Its easy to walk into town (about 20 minutes) and to Kanko and Onsen ski resorts. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Ill definitely be back!

the owner are the most heart warming folks that i have encountered. the air bnb feels like home and even its winter, the place is always warmed up for the guests. i also love how friendly the other guests were. everyone just gathered and chit chat no matter which country you came from. 100% for this place. the shared onsen was also great with fantastic snow cap mountain view. i will definitely come back here again if i ever come back to asakusa again. take care and stay healthy till we meet again. 😀

Absolutely beautiful little cottage in the mountains with lots of Japanese culture. 10 min walk to nearest slopes and 20 min to town, however Jusan is always happy to drive you. Yummy food and Onsen on site makes the stay even better. we didn't bother to go out in the evening to eat as the food they prepare is so good. Each room has own toilet, but 2 showers on site are shared. Traditional Japanese pension you can't miss on your travels list.
