Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

Amanda was a lovely host. She was very responsive and helpful when we messaged. The house is deceptively big and there's plenty of room to chill and get ready for busy days. It is very well stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment for if you decide to cook at home. The beds are all doubles and they're very comfy with tonnes of blankets to keep extra cosy if you like! The area is nice with a big beach. We did find that there isn't a great lot to do, so we found ourselves driving quite a lot but if you're a walker, it would be perfect with all the coastal paths. Diamond pizza is a fab place to get a quick bite after a long day so we would definitely recommend there if you're a fan of a mucky tea! If you're wanting to explore the Northumberland coast and find yourself in Bamburgh, we would definitely recommend Creel and Reel seafood trailer for som delicious locally sourced seafood! All in all we have had a wonderful stay with our dogs and found Amanda's place the perfect getaway!

Such a beautiful cottage with amazing views, it definitely exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, very quiet and peaceful and only a short drive to Carlisle for shops/restaurants. I’d definitely go back and recommend for a trip away in the lakes.

We loved this place, it was perfect for our six year olds, they loved the garden, the spacious rooms and it was a great location to base ourselves while we explored to NE - we will be back xx

Hellen was such a star and her kindness added to the home, welcomine feeling of the house. Ideally located 15 mn from Seaham, in a peaceful streets with two little shops nearby if you need anything… And the house is so well equipped, so comfy. A huge thanks, everything was absolutely perfect!

Sandra's house was extremely comfortable, spotless and welcoming. The house has everything you could possibly need during a stay. Sandra was very responsive and very helpful and informative about the area and what it has to offer. Excellent host.

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

We very happy with the house is good house for big family trip. Easy to parking car and check in. We have very nice trip in there. The owner she very nice she let us check in earlier. High recommend for her. Thank you so much

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Lovely stay, shepherds hut was well equipped and had all you needed and was nice and cosy inside… outdoor space was also great and we loved the hot tub and bbq facilities which were provided. Gillan was a great host and showed us around, but privacy was not invaded which we liked. Would definitely recommend a stay here

A really lovely cabin with everything you need for enjoying a few days in the Lakes. We loved the location, very close to Ambleside and not far from Grasmere and Windermere for shops. Loads of nice trails available as soon as you leave the estate. We stayed with two kids and it was perfect, would love to visit again!

really lovely place to stay in the Lake District. The accommodation is modern, clean and reasonably spacious (it can sleep 5 but dining table is small and can only fit 4). But the bedrooms are nice with super comfortable beds, and both bathrooms are right next to each bedroom, which is really handy . The kitchen is well equipped with a washer/dryer too which we didn't use but great to know it's there for the future. Only improvements I could suggest is to include a coffee machine ( which every Airbnb property we've stayed at has had and are cheap but great for guests who enjoy a decent coffee in the morning), and for the TV to have terrestrial channels. It was a smart TV so it was great being able to connect our Netflix account to, but this and catch-up was all that was available. These are minor points as neither would stop us returning. Louise and team were very responsive to our queries which was great. We'll definitely return soon and can recommend this place.

This property was beautiful, and as described. I would go as far as saying it exceeded our expectations. It felt like a home from home. We visited with our dog and a lovely touch was the dog basket with blankets, towels and treats. It was spotlessly clean and had all the little things that you seem to forget when going away for a few days (salt, pepper, cleaning products). The host was very attentive and sent us so much information beforehand (where to visit, eat, local shops etc.) The property was situated in a quiet area with a little pond opposite us, it was lovely to see the ducks plodding along throughout the day. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a few days relaxation, sight seeing and peace and quiet to give this property a go!

Thank you David for a lovely stay! We stayed for part of my husband’s 40th as a short family break. The neighbours were lovely and the pool was fab! We enjoyed the surroundings and felt very chilled 😊 thank you!

We had a lovely weekend staying at Serendipity to visit the Christmas markets in York. The place has everything we needed and more and Rachael had kindly left the heating on for us so we were super cosy when we arrived in the evening too. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and a great power shower - the all important things! Also a lovely extra touch with some treats for us and the dogs, plus milk, tea and coffee. Our 8 year old loved the addition of the XBOX and extra toys to play with too! Thank you so much Rachael! Helen, Dave, Fin, Olive & Gus x

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

The cottage was beautiful and very clean. We felt comfortable and cosy with the log fire and blankets for the sofa. Our dog was made to feel as welcome as we were with treats and toys etc provided. The WiFi was not great but the host had mentioned this already and there were dvds to watch instead of being reliant on free view. Beautiful area to explore and locals in the village seemed very friendly. Will hope to return.

We've just returned from a short stay at my happy hounds. Our glamping pod Hugo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless considering these are dog friendly. The welcome pack was also a nice touch with all quality items. We have 2 dogs one that is very nervous, he settled in well as it was peaceful and private and having ample space for them to run and play at the pod and the secure dog fields, these are a great facility for anyone traveling with a dog. It's only a short drive to find local amenities and finding my happy hounds was easy with Google maps being accurate. The communication from Harry was excellent with plenty of information and help if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and have already started talking of booking again for the future. Just back from a couple of nights stay at Low Moss. It lived up to expectations in every which way. Easy to find and clear directions given on the route from the main road. Perfect spot for couples to go and escape for a while. Kitchen has everything you could need and the living room is nice and cosy to sit on the sofa with the fire on either reading a book or watching some tv. The bed is huge and got some solid sleep in on it, and obviously the bath is an extra nice touch. We were lucky when looking to see the dates free that we went and we’ll be keeping and eye for the future as we’d definitely go back for another stay.

Adam’s place was perfect for our family of four - clean, homely, well furnished and lovely and quiet given its convenient location. We were visiting family in tough circumstances and it felt like a home from home. Adam was responsive and helpful, right up until the last minute!

Couldn’t fault this cottage, we absolutely loved our stay. It’s so cosy, we loved the big comfortable bed, the log fire and the beautiful bathroom. Staveley is a lovely village - some great coffee and breakfast options and perfectly located for so many beautiful walks. Would highly recommend. Also very grateful to the host for accommodating a small change to our booked dates due to medical appointments. Hope to return!
