Lake house vacation rentals in Michigan City

This retreat on the lake was absolutely perfect for spending time with extended family during a Notre Dame game weekend! The house was flawless! Everything that was described in the listing was exactly how we found it. Our host was super quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We had a wonderful time and spent a lot of time on the fantastic back porch. This is how every Airbnb should be! The beds, bedding, baths and kitchen were excellent.

This was a great stay for my dad’s lifelong dream of going to a home game at Notre Dame. Miranda was responsive and helpful. The space was immaculate and the view was beautiful. I highly recommend Miranda’s place! Thank you so much for having us!

Very nice home and backyard. The pontoon boat and kayaks offered much enjoyment. Barbecue pit worked and all amenities. Firepit nice to light and have smores for the kids. Bring bug spray for being out in the evening. Neighbors were very nice also. Great vibe to the area. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. We were a party of 10 adults attending my nephew's wedding at the Marion Magnolia Farms venue which was about 2 miles away. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Except the food, of course. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, etc. Bring bottled water. The backyard setting adjacent to the lake was tranquil and peaceful. The weather was beautiful for October (high 70's). We spent the evening around the fire pit making s'mores. No mosquitoes or flies. Yay!!!!!!! You literally will not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!! But we had to get back to reality. For 3 days and 2 nights we were able to escape the busyness of everyday living. Thanks Amy for allowing us to have a wonderful mini-vacation/wedding celebration at your AirBnB.

Howard is an amazing host. He was super responsive and accommodating to our large group. He had all the amenities that were listed on the property and more! We had more than enough towels and even kitchen appliances, spices, and utensils. His instructions were clear about checking out and our group had a wonderful weekend. If you have a big group and need lots of space, this place is great. The kitchen was well stocked if you want to cook and there are plenty of games to play. The lake is beautiful and this spot has great privacy. There’s a pretty large flee market right down the road that’s open on the weekends and a great little market called, Walt & Marie's Country Market & Cafe if ya need something quick.

We had a very nice stay this Lake house! We were looking for a place that would be my wife and I and our 2 dogs with easy access to a clean lake that was private and still had access to some dog-friendly restaurants, parks, etc. This place perfectly covered all those needs with a great open layout family room / kitchen / dining room (not common in many moderately sized lake houses) with plenty of room to spread out and lots of windows. It was also nice to have the kayaks, SUP, and paddle boat available to use. Kyle and Kelly were great hosts and we hope to stay again!

The yellow retreat house was perfect for our quick stay. It was clean and spacious and we felt very comfortable there. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We had a great stay.

our stay was great! the location was close to the national park, which was our primary reason for selecting this rental. kitchen and living spaces were superb. definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here! It was a little hard to find at first but even though it was right off the road the back yard felt very private. Easy to walk to the beach and around the neighborhood. For two people and a dog it felt very spacious and the outdoor area was very beautiful with all the fall colors. It was a nice area with easy access to the state parks we visited.

From the outset, this was a very enjoyable Airbnb experience. Geri provided a very useful amount of information about the property and area eateries, wineries, etc. The home was made available to us earlier than expected, was clean, very well-stocked, and ready for our use. The WIFI apparatus was robust and very easy to connect to. We truly enjoyed the beautiful, wooded surroundings...especially in mid-October...spectacular colors. We got onto the lake for some fishing using the provided kayaks. Nice bass in the lake! We used the firepit each evening, so the firewood that was made available to us was put to excellent use! I cannot overstate how impressed we were with the thoughtful outfitting of the home...kitchenware, toiletries, bedding, games, outdoor furniture, plenty of coffee, and more; everything we might want was available to us. Geri's husband John gave us a fun and interesting tour of their neighboring farmstead...highly recommended! Kudos Geri!

We had an amazing stay at Tim’s Airbnb in Union Pier, Michigan! The place was even better than the photos — bigger, very clean, and perfectly set up with everything we needed. It was the ideal spot for our girls trip, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. Tim was a great host, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here!! We actually told Vic & Jess we saw their place from TikTok ! It caught our attention especially since it wasn’t far from us here in Chicago so we had to check it out ourselves! The view and simply being away from the city for the weekend was amazing. Vic & Jess are very responsive and attentive which we appreciated. Their home is very clean and it really does make you feel comfortable and inviting. All the vibes are there! Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a quick getaway even with your kids. Ours enjoyed it very much 😊

Great lake house for our multi-family gathering. Pontoon rental was perfect for fishing! We caught our limit of bluegill each day. Young and old especially loved the swinging in the great room looking into the lake. Power recliner and couch made watching TV relaxing. Girls loved painting rocks. And our 3 year old grandson was in love with cars and toys to play with.

This is a very comfortable house in a beautiful, peaceful, private location. The views of the lake from the living and dining rooms are stunning. The house has a lot of sweet touches and the hosts have thought in advance of a lot of little things you might need. I highly recommend it.

It was the perfect get away, we did venture out a little bit, but we mostly stayed at the house. It was very comfortable, and was a home away from home. Had everything we needed, as we cooked in almost everyday. We don’t have a lot of conversations with Jodie, but we had adequate conversations with her. She was very responsive when we requested information. The info sheet was easy to understand and informative.

Second time staying there, even better in the fall. Surroundings are beautiful!

Great stay for a Notre Dame football weekend. The house is out of the fanfare about 35 minutes away from campus. Plenty of social space and space to relax in the home, in its back yard, or near the lake. Big kitchen, and all of the amenities you need for a weekend stay. Darick is a great host, and I recommend this to folks looking for the same use!
