Vacation rentals with breakfast in Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead

An easy 5* rating! John and Joanne could have not been more helpful and responsive, and then left us to enjoy the gorgeous place. Lots of lovely little touches and had everything we could need. Perfect base for a big group. It was a shame it was such a short trip for us as it would have been nice to stay longer!

Booked this house for a work colleague and he was happy there, the house had everything he needed for his stay.

Had a great stag do weekend, very much helped by this great property. There was 11 of us and had plenty of space, it’s huge! The karaoke machine is a nice addition. We made good use of the pool table, again was fantastic to have in there for a stag do. There was food available if we wanted it which was a nice touch. We brought 3 cars and parking was easy on the street. Excellent location, just a short drive into the city centre and the street it’s on feels safe. The only minor downside I could say is there being 1 bathroom between that many people, however we were aware of this beforehand and felt it didn’t detract from the experience at all - the price for everything you get is 100% worth it. Would recommend this property for anyone planning a stag / hen do. Thanks so much Richard!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were bowled over how beautiful and roomy the house is. Instructions and directions were excellent. The whole house is lovely and the bathroom is great, with a large bath which is fab as we only have a shower at home. The croissants were a really nice little extra, great for breakfast. The location is good too, easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We liked being able to put the car in a garage. Overall a really pleasant, comfortable stay.

Amazing stay! The place was spotless and exactly as described. The host was very friendly, gave us clear check-in instructions and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect—close to the city centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow, what a great studio. The ensuite bedroom is fantastic and the bath is so luxurious. The kitchen has everything you need and the lounge is lovely and relaxing. Just a short stroll and you are in the centre of Hexham for bars, cafes and restaurants. It's also a great base for exploring g the wider Northumberland countryside. We will definitely be looking to return again soon. Thanks for hosting us.

Marie and Peter were wonderful hosts—responsive, incredibly friendly, and very helpful. The location was absolutely perfect for my needs, making my stay really convenient. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would happily stay again when visiting my daughter.

Fantastic location near lots to do! Literally across the street from tonnes of restaurants, down the street from the park, amusements and sea front as well as town centre. Easy to walk to public transport as well. VERY spacious accommodation with ample space in the shared areas, including kitchen and sitting room. Easy to find and free parking as well! Great location for a holiday and small or large group alike!

If you are looking for a good standard of comfortable and cosy no frills accommodation in a location with plenty of cafés and restaurants and good transport to and from the city, I would definitely recommend Christopher’s place.

Nic and Julie’s place was very homely, very tidy and everything, the kitchen, the bedrooms, was of a high quality. Julie was a very friendly and responsive host, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us out with anything we needed. Would’ve given 6 stars if I could have.

Perfect place to stay for Kyren. Easy walk to the site and even easier to get the market place shuttle. A little noisy in the evening but given that it's right in the centre not bad. Easy check in and good instruction on how to find the place.

Fantastic place for a weekend break, had my own area upstairs with a small room to the side of the bedroom for breakfast making/easting. Bedroom was very spacious and the bed was most comfy and clean. Great host, very friendly and provided good local recommendations. Parking was perfect (on driveway) and directions were also easy to follow. Definitely would recommend for others if they want a trip to the north of England, great history and walks very close by and Newcastle is about a 50 minute train ride.

Stayed here for a friend’s wedding at a local venue, was 10 mins away and easy enough to book a cab to get there. Very clean, friendly staff (lad on his first day did a great job) and in one of the most beautiful areas of the U.K. I’ve ever visited. Portable heater in the room was very very useful as well and easy enough to figure out. Staff even returned an item I left in the room after checking out before I left, which I was really grateful for.

Another lovely stay at the Cara! The beach is on the doorstep & you come back to a warm stylish room, soft white towels, hot shower & TV. Lots of choice for breakfast, from full English to pancakes or breakfast burritos even! You'll feel really looked after by Mareia or Julia if you stay at the Cara. Highly recommended. brenda x

I had the most wonderful experience staying here. Rosie was very welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The cottage is beautiful and really cozy. The upstairs was spacious and the bed was perfect for a good night's sleep. Rosie was kind enough to take the time to walk with me to the River Derwent. It was such a beautiful stroll and a lovely way to see the area through a local’s eyes. She also gave great tips on nearby places to explore and walk around. In the evening, they even offered me pizza and chips, which was so thoughtful and kind. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. I had a fresh fruit salad followed by a lovely hot breakfast. Rosie also shared a homemade jam, which made it feel all the more special. I couldn't recommend Rosie's place enough. Thank you, Rosie and Paul, for the warm hospitality!

This place beats every other booking I have made on Airbnb. Deserves beyond a 5 ⭐️ Was in Newcastle for a short weekend trip, visiting family with my wife and 5 year old. Gary’s place was only 24mins from our destination, so it was not too much distance. Gary is great personality, friendly and chatty. Made our little girl feel at home. The apartment was in pristine condition you would not want to mess it up. Very private with sparkling bathroom (and sufficient bathroom supplies and toiletries) and lounge where you have several video collections and access to internet to stream online if you wish. So many free options for breakfast as well. Such a great deal for great price. I will certainly book this place again when next I am in the area.

Heather is a wonderful host and the Coach House is exactly as described. The information provided by Heather is really helpful and Heather responds to queries very quickly. The Coach House is spotlessly clean and has everything you need although the provision of a TV would be a bonus. However, WiFi is available and guests are offered the opportunity to watch TV to on their own devices. The location is excellent with lovely views from the Coach House windows. I would highly recommend the Coach House and I plan to return soon.

Our stay at Dominic and Elaine's home was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the kindest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. They truly went above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed! The house itself is absolutely stunning—every corner beautifully designed and immaculately kept. We were constantly in awe of the space and comfort. But what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible breakfast they prepared. It was not only delicious but felt like it was made with such care and love. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and warm, we cannot recommend Dominic and Elaine's place enough. We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we’ll definitely be back!
