Years ago when in Merida for a short vacation, we hoped to return for a longer visit. We explored many options for a 3 week stay and chose La Pantera Negra; it was a great decision. Gina and Jean-Pierre are wonderful hosts as are their dogs, Mostaza and Chavela. The home is an art gallery, decorated with pieces from their collection. You feel like you're stepping back in time (in the best of ways) - high ceilings, tiled floors and a lovely garden/dipping pool. We had the yellow room with garden access and windows for good air flow. Breakfasts were amazing, prepared with loving care by Jean-Pierre with foods from their garden and the local market; breakfast was served on the balcony, a great way to start the day with other guests. It is in a good location, near transportation (ADO, AutoProgreso) and within easy walking distance of many sites and restaurants. Super clean, good WIFI, A/C. Hosts very willing to help you achieve your travel goals. Thanks for a great time!

Very quiet location with a few nice cafes and restaurants nearby. it is a 20-minute walk to the center. Warm hosts! We would book again anytime.

Lovely stay at the Casita of Ron and Lissa! Walking distance to the city centre. At the Casita you don't feel like you are in a city it's lovely and quiet! Ron and Lissa are kind people that went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and they love to chat! Many thanks!

Excellent location and ideal if you go to the consulado! Literal a few steps. Maria was very attentive, and Ernesto made us recommendations that helped us to tourist! Our room is very clean and cozy! I highly recommend it as it is very central to the place! And Oxxo super close ! Definitely back, ah and it's PETFRIENDLY ❤️

Stanley and Sherry are excellent host and the place was absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the Casita and it was like living in a tropical oasis in a serene magical setting. Unfortunately, the stay was not as wonderful as it could have been because my husband was not feeling well during the stay. But everything was close by so the walk to the pharmacy was a short distance. And having fresh fruit and coffee every morning was so appreciated. You will love this place. I know we did.

Incredible place! An atmosphere of calm, in my opinion the common areas were prioritized over the private areas which is very good, you have spaces to read, to relax outdoors, enjoy the pool, a garden, abundant trees, the idea of breakfast all guests together I liked it, it promotes coexistence between guests, excellent service, beautiful place, a great concept. Claudia is always attentive and willing to help make your arrival and stay the best.

It was a very pleasant surprise, the place is very nice and quiet, not far from the city center, it also has a refreshing pool and Richie's breakfasts are unforgettable!!! I wouldn't have cared to stay much longer!!

A quiet and comfortable place. Accessible for check in and check out time. Very attentive erick and responds quickly. I would like to be more days but I already had them occupied

I really loved the house, both for its decor and for its structure; literally, it's my dream home. Also, the hostess was lovely from the start, she showed us every corner and explained how everything worked. He also provided us with a magazine with recommendations on what to do and places to visit in Mérida. If you're looking for an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a romantic get-away, this is perfect. In my opinion, the best was the bathroom and the tub. Also, if they like to go for a walk, the house is right in front of a park.
