Vacation rentals with a fireplace in McLennan County

Responded immediately to our reservation as it was last minute due to our other reservations not being as expected. Very friendly host and the property was very peaceful and beautiful. A nice little relaxing getaway! I loved the kitchen it is truly a farmhouse feel and would highly recommend.

The drive getting there is very scenic. The area is peaceful. It’s very cozy and was perfect for our family, two adults into a teenagers. I absolutely loved that the house was fully stocked. The host was very thoughtful to have everything I needed to make the kiddos Homemade waffles. They had all the ingredients, utensils and the waffle making machine. The layout of the kitchen and the living room is such that everyone can watch TV together no matter where you’re sitting. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The bathroom has everything you need Including make up wipes, which was great for my daughter and I. The deck outside is lovely with plenty of seating space. The highlight was definitely the following morning when we got to see all of the cattle and horses upfront. We got to watch the cattle come up to the property from the creek. The host is very responsive and I appreciated the quick review of the stay request and detailed information on how to get there.

This has truly become our family’s home away from home! Always peaceful, quiet, and quaint, just as described! Looking forward to the next visit! 😊

We got this for a little weekend away. We had a great time swimming, kayaking, fishing, making s’mores over the fire pit, and just spending time together. It was a beautiful house on beautiful property. It was absolutely worth it.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights throughout our stay. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. Scott and Cara’s attention to detail and hospitality truly made this stay memorable. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy and delightful getaway in McGregor which was about 20 minutes away from Waco.
