The perfect place for our group of 12 for a few days. House was very clean and host had everything we might have needed stocked when we got there. The kids loved the garage game room and basement. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Massanutten!

Great property. Owners left great instructions, and the house was private. The deer were an added bonus with the hot tub. Will be back for the winter. 5 Stars

Great mountain house! House was clean and had everything we needed. The host sent us local recommendations and checkin/out was easy!

What a wonderful house, host, and location! We went with another family, with three “kids” ranging from 8 to 18. It was a relaxing, and also vibrant weekend. The house was very comfortable, and there was lots to do for the younger group, who spent time in the game room and walked to the nearby pool. We found the house to be so relaxing; we enjoyed the sauna and fire pit. The neighborhood, while it doesn’t have sidewalks, is very quiet and easy to explore. There were many restaurants nearby, and we hope to come back to see the other sites like the caverns and garden maze, etc. The Shenandoah Valley is stunning. We all highly recommend Flower on the Mountain, and look forward to hopefully visiting for a longer time next year.

We had a wonderful getaway at Seths place in Rockingham. Perfect location for a group of 12 girlfriends that wanted to relax. Loved the pool and the porch/patio! Felt like Tuscany. Seth and Carla were extremely responsive to the couple of small issues we had. Definitely recommend.

This place was perfect ! Everything you could possibly need was available to us . The hot tub and the fire pits were amazing. The view was incredible. There was so much to do very close to the house! Potato chip tasting , wineries , cave tour, and a really cool parade float museum! We also truly enjoyed the space , lots of room to relax and read a book, play ball outside , fish in the river… great place , highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy and well-located property. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive. The neighborhood is quiet. The only minor downside was the internet connection—it tended to disconnect occasionally. That said, it wasn’t a major issue for us and everything else about the stay more than made up for it. We’d definitely stay here again!

This Airbnb was the perfect setting for my husband's birthday celebration with our kids! The home was incredibly family-friendly, offering something special for everyone. Our children had a blast exploring both the indoor space and the wonderful outdoor area. The outdoor space was a huge highlight - perfect for morning coffee, afternoon play sessions, and evening relaxation under the stars. Inside, the living area was perfect for family gatherings, game time, and birthday festivities. The kitchen was well-equipped for preparing both the special birthday dinner and kid-friendly meals. The sleeping arrangements worked perfectly for our family, ensuring everyone had a good night.

This is my second stay and yet still plenty of new activities to be explored in the surrounding area. We spent a day visiting Shenandoah Valley stopping at each overlooks. We visited Harrisonburg and had a nice afternoon walk in the tranquil trails in JMU’s Edith J. Arboretum. One day we headed out for a visit to Natural bridge and stopped by a beautiful town Staunton. It’s such a lovely place and we ended up spending the rest of the day there, watching a play in the Shakespeare Theater and had a wonderful dinner at the Mill Street Grill. Definitely will visit again and save enough time checking out all its fascinating stores. Thanks to the hosts we were able to rest well in such a clean and comfortable house every evening, and cook a hot breakfast every morning before our adventure!

We had a fantastic stay! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing long weekend. The beds were incredibly cozy, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like extra towels, a well-stocked kitchen, a few of all necessities to start (e.g., coffee pods, dishwasher tablets). Ashley was communicative, kind, and made check-in a breeze. The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything we wanted to see and do. We truly felt at home here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an stress-free, high-quality Airbnb experience!

Beautiful space! The view was gorgeous and the home was very clean. It included everything you would could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. It was an easy drive to Harrisonburg and we also enjoyed the hot tub!

Nice place and only about 5 minutes from most of what you want to do at Massanutten.

Paul and April's home is an incredible place to stay for a family getaway! Our family came to Harrisonburg for the JMU graduation weekend, and it was private, quiet, and only 28 minutes from JMU -- for a family, it's a way better proposition than staying in 4 or 5 rooms at a hotel in town. The home was spacious, quiet, and had an amazing view from the deck. The kitchen was well equipped and there lots of amenities for entertainment -- games, ping-pong, pool table. Excellent value, and the hosts are super communicative and promptly respond to messages. Highly recommended.

Everything was great, we had a great time. so many games and activities around the house, it was impossible to be bored.

The house is in a beautiful location and was extremely clean. The housekeeping is doing a great job! Information was easily accessible and Dominique responded quickly. The road to the house is steep but for this time of year (late May) every SUV, truck or car (including electric and door dashers) made it to the house no problem. The road is narrow and has some blind spots when cresting with limited parking. I would recommend limiting the number of cars if possible. Dominique was clear and transparent prior to our arrival about the house's location and parking. While it was challenging and required some planning, we made shuttling and use of the overflow parking lot work for us. There are also many stairs and steps outside and inside of the home which might be cause of concern for anyone who has limited mobility. The house has plenty of rooms of the main level though. Overall, the house worked great hosting a bulk of our wedding guests comfortably.

One word - Fantastic! We rented the house for a family vacation with toddlers and infants and this was the perfect house. The house is very clean, well maintained and has all the amenities you can ask for! If you have infants, they provide cribs, changing stations, high chairs, etc. All the amenities were top notch and communication with Erika and Germain was a breeze. They are proactive and are constantly in touch with you throughout the stay. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cannot wait to come back here again.

We came in for a wedding. As the best woman trying to “host” and make sure everyone one was okay, this home and host made everything go by smooth with a nice and accomodating home. It was really cozy and comfortable for us all. The parking got challenging at one point with a steeper driveway than expected but everything turned out great. Would definitely recommend and return.

Our group felt like we were staying at a boutique hotel. The name of the house the Emerald Escape provided a peaceful place to renew and refresh mentally. The house/chalet can comfortably accomodate larger group stays. All of the amenities: air fryer, slow cooker, plastic wrap, make up towels, etc. were surprise comforts from home. Germain was a phenomenal, responsive host. He communicated prior to our stay and immediately during our stay. We would definitely like to stay at the Emerald Escape again!

It was the perfect place for a weekend trip with friends. It was great to have all the fun amenities we could want without leaving the house. We made great use of the basement entertainment room, hot tub, grill, and fire pit. The hosts were super communicative and even dropped by with some baked goods. There was a bit of wear and tear in places like the bathrooms, and a bit of pet fur in the bedding, but we weren’t too fussed over it. We would definitely stay here again!
