Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mayo

Recently we stayed in Carme's place for two nights and it was a home away from home. The house is beautiful, spacious and cosy and it boasts a beautiful view of Croagh Patrick. I loved seeing the cows in the field while having my breakfast and the family sheep dog is so friendly. Thank you Carmel for your delicious home baked bread, jam and your farm eggs. It was such a lovely and welcoming gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our only regret was that we only stayed for 2 nights! We will just have to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Juli’s House. Donal is an excellent host, friendly and helpful. The house is really peaceful and lots to enjoy in the area and good places to eat in Westport. We will definitely return.

Great stay at Rest Easky, great base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way, lovely quiet village with everything you need - groceries, cafe, pub, butchers, pottery shop. The interior was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything required. Would stay here again when coming back to Easky!

Highly recommend this beautiful house Lorna and Dave were fantastic hosts. The cleanest house we have ever stayed in. Our grandson had a great time with a full play room of toys and plenty of space to play outside. A wonderful stay. We would love to return.

Marian is so lovely. She is truly a wonderful host. She warmly greats you upon arrival and even baked us banana bread for our stay. Marian recommended some lovely local spots to visit. I highly recommend Downpatrick head which is about an hour from Marian’s place. The BNB itself is great. Very clean, cozy while being spacious, and warm. The views are beautiful and lots of cute sheep 🐑 nearby. If you’re going to be in the area, Marian’s place is a wonderful place to stay.

Dymphna was a great host. She was always very helpful. She had a fire waiting for us each day, which was a lovely touch. She always answered immediately if we had a question. The place is beautiful and right in the national park. I would highly recommend Dymphna's place.

A fantastic location with a view in every direction, each very special and therefore never boring. A good starting point for several (hiking) tours. Get tips on this too. Sun (if it shines) from morning to evening on or in the house. We have already decided after a few days that we want to come back next year. To relax, enjoy and unwind, one of the best accommodations I know. And don't worry about the access, it's really absolutely doable and doesn't require a special car or a special driver.

The apartment is very spacious and also offers parking for several vehicles. Gerard was very accommodating and gave good tips for tours to explore Ballina and the region. For problems we had with the motorcycle, everyone helped us a lot. A special highlight was the visits to the pub next door, where we had many interesting conversations with nice people. We can only recommend the property.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Marie's very much! Could have stayed longer. Everything was clean, the beds very comfortable. It's a little ways outside of Westport so it's a perfect combination of quiet and peaceful but still with plenty to do close by. We spent lots of time in the living room just enjoying the amazing view. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Hopefully we can stay again one day!

When I think of a warm welcome to Ireland, Eileen's place comes right to mind. The home is so beautiful and kept so clean! Eileen is VERY wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and kind. And the views from her home are just breath taking! Absolutely LOVED that horses were just right there in the backyard Thank you Eileen for an absolutely unforgettable stay!

We just can't say enough good things about Jenna's place and Westport in general. The flat is spacious, the kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking, and the location couldn't be any more central. Everything we needed was supplied and obviously great thought went into preparing the flat to be extremely comfortable. Jenna had lots of information on the local attractions, plus the helpful tourist office is just around the corner. Easy walking distance to all Westport has to offer. Olivia sent us pictures of the house the day before arrival and detailed explanations of how to find the house, where the key box is and so on. When we arrived, we were totally thrilled with the apartment from the first moment, it was furnished exactly as described. Very nice, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom happened to be exactly like our home decorating style. This immediately gave us a "feeling of home." The apartment was above average well equipped. There were several varieties of tea, shower gels, shampoo, conditioner - hand soap from Rituals, there were adapter plugs & hairspray, in addition a nice cozy wool blanket. We got to know Olivia personally on the day of departure and had a very pleasant and pleasant conversation with her. We would recommend the apartment and Olivia as a landlady at any time. We really enjoyed our time there.

This place looked just like the pictures - actually it was bigger than we expected!! Beautiful location, super clean. Full kitchen was perfect for any kind of cooking we wanted to do. Absolutely lovely and would return!!

We had such a great time staying at the Apothecary, the place was absolutely spot on. There are great places to explore that are essentially right on your doorstep, plenty of walking routes and nice scenery. Philip had some great recommendations for us and was very friendly. We would definitely come back again.

Myra and Eamon were great hosts and very helpful. Nothing was a problem and we felt right at home from when we arrived till we left. The location was great - close to the town and Westport House for walks and runs. Accommodation is excellent. Luckily the weather was great and we really enjoyed our stay. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful location within the trees and the river is really special. Amazing distance from Westport, close and accessible yet far enough away to feel the peace and quiet. Old head beach is nearby too which is a bonus!

The perfect location to everything in Westport. Very comfortable spot for family of 6. Instant communication, Finian made checkin/out simple. Highly recommend!

Mary was so lovely and welcoming. She was easily contactable and so warm and friendly. We were keen to have a bit of privacy and she left us to our own devices to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location of the apartment is really spectacular. Sitting in the hot tub looking out on the lake was a real highlight of the trip.

Danny's condo is very well laid out and the trails to walk along from his garden were amazing, a particular hit for our two dachshunds running up the hills with us. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice cozy base for exploring the area and will be back when we are next in the area.

The owner was brilliant communicate with, every instruction to get in and how to get around was very good, we had a group and it was seem less!! We will definitely be back to this location as part of our yearly trip! Thanks for everything!

Catherine’s apartment is very well located, just a 5 min drive or 30 min walk from Westport city center. The quay is beautiful as it is next to the lake and the park. If you are driving be mindful that the parking is a bit difficult. Apart from that highly recommend it if you are visiting Westport

We had a lovely time, the studio was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

This accommodation is a lovely old house right on a small harbour in the middle of nowhere and walking to Cong is about 30 minutes, so you should have a car. The accommodation is large, with enough space and two bathrooms, nice seating areas and everything you need. The decor may be a bit old-fashioned, but it fits the charm of the house. Would stay here again at any time. Contact with Annette and Simon was always uncomplicated and nice.
