Monthly Rentals in Mathraki

Staying in the little pink house in Doukades was an absolute dream! I visited during the off-season (February–April), when the town was quiet except for the beautiful spring celebrations. Now, with the season changing, you get to experience the village waking up—more shops and cafés open, while the nearby beaches remain blissfully empty (a very different story in the summer!). A car is definitely essential for exploring, but everything you need is within reach. The little market right outside is incredibly friendly and convenient—Vickey and Irene are absolute gems! And if you love hiking, all I can say is go up! The mountain access from Doukades is just a 10-minute walk, connecting directly to the Corfu Trail from the church. The hikes are breathtaking! The village itself is peaceful, warm, and welcoming—I always felt safe. The cats are like little guardians of the town, adding to its charm. And I can’t say enough wonderful things about the host, Herlinde. She was incredibly kind.

By far one of the best air bnb experiences I have ever had. Our flight was delayed causing us to come in a little later than anticipated and Alex made sure there was food for us when we got there and even offered to take us to get more. He was responsive, gave great recommendations and even had the bus schedule printed out for us to easily navigate old town. I’ve never felt more welcomed in a home before. He invited all of us to come to their Easter celebration. We really felt like we got an authentic experience. If we had a question, he would respond promptly and would even come over to help us out. The space was more than comfortable and had everything we need and some. Alex truly went above and beyond as a host and really made our time in Corfu special. 10/10 recommend.

The house in the middle of the village is superbly renovated and you can have a good stay here. The furnishing details are loving and creative. The neighbors are very nice and you sleep very quietly. If you want to get a little closer to Greek village life, this is the ideal place!

Unfortunately, I am seriously ill after a short time and did not get away on my own, I also had to stop the vacation. Keterina left everything and immediately supported me, constantly used your help if I need anything, you can support me. She was available at any time of day or night and made it clear to me to use this without hesitation. She inquired several times a day about my condition and was able to give me a little more security and mental support alone. Really very empathetic and a very great support in such a difficult situation. A very, very big thank you to you, absolutely not self-evident and I am very, very grateful to you.
