Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Matara

Staying with Nissanka and Mallika was a wonderful experience. Their home is just minutes from Mirissa Beach, with guest rooms built above their own living space. One side of the complex is nestled in the shade of banana plants and greenery, keeping it cool and peaceful. My en-suite room was simple, spotless, and well-equipped—comfortable bedding, a mosquito net, a fan, and even hot water if needed. Air-conditioned rooms are also available, though I found the natural shade kept mine pleasantly cool. What made my stay truly special was Nissanka and Mallika’s incredible hospitality and genuine compassion. They treated me like family, sharing tea, delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan meals, and helpful local tips. Despite language differences, their warmth and generosity shone through. Mallika even took me on her tuk-tuk at 5:15 AM so I could catch a kayaking tour. They go above and beyond. Mirissa is beautiful, but it was Nissanka and Mallika who made my stay unique. I highly recommend!

Sudeera was super helpful and always took care of all our needs! Very very friendly and always responded swiftly in case we needed something or the wifi needed to be recharged. the location is prime and could not have been better if you want something like your own private beach! The area is nice, a lot of restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed out stay !!

What an unbelievable stay with such an amazing and kind family. I worked here for a month remotely and would 100% do it again. Anu's cooking is like a 5-star hotel. Would recommend this place to anyone

Finding this place proved difficult for the tuk tuk driver as there are 5 sections of Harbour Road and one Suriya house and another named Sooriya house. If you arrive at the Railway station, you are in the middle of nowhere and tuk tuks are your only option. If you say “ near Main Road and Harbour Road” they understand. The space is immaculate, bed is comfortable, breakfast is yummy (with monkeys to our delight!) and I would go back. Welcomed with a cold cloth and fresh juice!

Excellent villa for two families or two couples, two separate entrances, each has its own bathroom, kitchen, etc. I liked the value, the territory, the bed, etc. What I didn't like: there is no hot water, if in the kitchen you turn on the stove and the kettle goes out for traffic and there is no electricity, the location is good for those who prefer a relaxing holiday, we went surfing every day for 40 minutes one way In general, if these disadvantages do not scare you, then I recommend👍🏼

The accommodation was great and clean and in the centre of the town, near the see. South was nice and helpful.

Such a nice family! Hirun and his family were so nice, helpful, and just good people. I loved to start at their home. They helped me arrange a scooter & gave me some good recommendations. Whenever I needed help, they were there. I felt really home and I would come again.

Janath's place is so clean and tidy, very spacious and exactly as described in the description. Janath has organised travel from airport and was very helpful in recommending local restaurants and tourist places to visit. Overall we had a great stay at Janath's place and would definitely will come back to this place again. Thank you so much Janath.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The family was so lovely and accommodating. They can even cook for you! The room was very clean and simple. The WiFi was fast! I planned to stay one night and stayed three. Super close to the surf and a little cafe.

Very nice house with everything you need. Great location, you can just take the bus outside to beautiful beaches around. The host is very helpful and nice, highly recommended this place!

One of the best arbnb experience we ever had. The cabin is completely new.the location is so close all hotspots. (Food,yaga,surfin) stil you are in the middle of the jungle Family of monekeys passed either next to the house or even on house. That How your close to the nature. Highly recommend book this amazing cabin if you have chance
