Bungalow vacation rentals in Matara

A wonderful villa. Great host, very responsive and always ready to help. Very beautiful surroundings, quiet, calm. At first it was difficult to find the exact location, but we contacted the owner and he told us everything about how to get there. Next time we come to Sri Lanka, we will definitely consider this comfortable option.

The house was a perfect hideaway for us to work. It is in matara fort which has not been remodelled like galle. It has a very rural, local vibe even though the city is just up the road. Very peaceful with very few people. Friendly locals and one restaurant close by. We had a cook for our stay and that was much more convenient and delicious for us personally and as digital nomads the fast wifi is great for working. AC in the bedroom was wonderful and the layout is great for beach viewing and surf sounds. Perfect for a couple or solo as there is one bedroom. Thanks for the nice stay!

The villa was the most picturesque place we stayed in Sri Lanka, right in the plantation amongst the nature. Was very clean when we arrived and they helped arrange a lovely birthday cake and drinks upon our arrival. The location was not the easiest to access however, it’s a way out of central Ahangama and tuk tuks are very hard to come by, and they charge a lot extra to come to the area. But if you want a unique stay with views you wouldn’t see anywhere else in Ahangama, I would 100% recommend!!!

We had a great stay at Bryan's place. It is a short walk to the beaches and plenty of restaurants, but situated up by other residences so it is quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of space and great wifi which we found rare in other areas! The house keeper and her family were wonderful and always available with anything we needed.

Not only a great location in Hiriketiya, but a secure and comfortable haven when you have had enough of bring active at the beach! Walkable to the beach, and so many restaurant and Café options. We had a wonderful stay, and I am sure we will be back again next season.

Great place, very well decorated, we were feeling completely at home and at peace there Super well located, close to the beach and to nice restaurants & cafes while still very quiet Lucy was very nice and responsive Would definitely recommend and come back !

My friend and me were lucky to spend a whole month in this little paradise and we had a wonderful time. The pool is amazing . The garden is magical. By night it turns into a sea of lights . Everybody was very friendly and it really felt like home . We were lucky to spend there a long period though small unpleasantries just melt in the whole sweet experience. Even it’s a calm place place located a little more far away from the town you will here music and co . There was a little construction work going on wich weren’t perfect , but In total I absolutely fell in love with this place and it’s people and their little dog Lolita . Thanks So much !!!

Die Unterkunft liegt inmitten eines Wohngebietes am Fluss. Nebenan wird wohl demnächst ein Hotel gebaut, dort ist eine Baustelle. Der Garten ist besonders schön und von außen nicht einsehbar. Man konnte viele wilde Tiere beobachten und hat einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss. Das Haus und die Ausstattung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber. Indika war sehr gut erreichbar und auch der Hausmeister stand für Fragen und Hilfe jederzeit zur Verfügung. Wir befürchteten, dass wegen der Nähe zum Fluss viele Mücken geben würde, aber es war nicht mehr als an anderen warmen Orten. Wir hatten warmes Wasser und WiFi. Zum Essen haben wir uns den Tisch auf die Terrasse unter den Ventilator gestellt, das war wirklich schön. Die Betten waren leider nur 180cm lang, dadurch konnte mein 198cm großer Mann nicht so gut schlafen. Jedes Zimmer hatte einen Deckenventilator und es gab zusätzliche Ventilatoren zum Aufstellen. Auch Mücken Netze waren in jedem Zimmer vorhanden.
