Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Matala beach

I already miss this house. It’s like a fairytale cottage. So many cute little spaces indoors and out. Character and charm! It’s old with stone steps and some low doorways, so don’t be clumsy. Our hosts were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. There are many flowers, herbs and trees. Unforgettable.

The apartment is a small cottage, almost right on the beach. The immediate neighbor is a tavern with friendly and helpful staff. The apartment is very harmonious and comfortably furnished. Nothing is missing, everything is sparkling clean - as a welcome greeting there was fresh fruit and raki. Parking was right outside the door. We felt very comfortable. Thanks to the host.

We were with Alexis and Nikolette at the beginning and at the end. It really is a beautiful place where you feel very comfortable. Everything is lovingly designed. The house was modern and comfortable. The pool was amazing - such a relaxing spot to unwind. We were surrounded by beautiful olive trees and stunning views, which made the atmosphere feel peaceful and special. And one of our favorite parts was the grill area. We loved spending evenings cooking and dining outdoors.

This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

A Slice of Heaven in Crete. Our stay in this beautifully designed home was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by peaceful olive groves and bathed in Cretan sunshine, every moment felt serene and special. The sweet little pool was the perfect place to unwind, and the home itself was as stunning as it was comfortable. The hosts were warm, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcome. We left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning our return.

We stayed for one night before our ferry to Santorini. It was very close to the ferry enabling us to walk there. The place is very clean and well appointed. A little tricky to find on maps but got there in the end (it is a pedestrian zone so enter directions for pedestrian). Recommend

The place was exactly what we expected and very comfortable and clean. The host was flexible with us for checking in and was there to greet us when we arrived. The host provided information to help us schedule our taxi to the port to catch our early morning ferry. The location was perfect with everything we wanted in walking distance.

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! Very nice, spacious, stylish and quiet apartment. The old town is only about 2 minutes away by foot. Easy and prompt communication. We immediately felt at home and would be very happy to come back.

From Sunrise to Sunset the North facing second floor apartment and balcony offered incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Rethymnon Marina and Fortezza … absolutely no issues or problems with check in, in/out access with secure gated and covered garage parking … comfortable bed, quite building, hot water shower/sinks, flawless high speed internet, excellent cable TV, soft linens, sheets and pillows 5⭐️!

Beautiful small apartment with everything you need. A breathtaking view from to both sunrise and sunset - absolutely stunning! Great terrace as well. The apartment was very clean, we would come back anytime and stay longer Easy to get to Port and airport as well as restaurants etc in the city 100% recommend !

The photos do not do this beautiful place justice. The flowers and greens are so bright, and you have a view of mountains and the sea. Tina is incredibly kind and accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. She sent me home with some wonderful herbs from her garden - they smell amazing! She also treated me to some homemade Cretan cake she baked at the start of my trip. As a solo traveller, this was incredibly special and I am so grateful to her. Driving around the area is fantastic with so many beaches and hikes in the surrounding area. The space is very clean and comfortable! I hope to one day return.

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

Stayed 2 nights in Heraklion at this property. It is as described and in the photos. Perfectly located for a very short walk to nearby bars and restaurants. Great local food recommendations. No noise in the evenings even though close to the busy district.

The apartment is very pleasant : clean, modern, spacious and perfectly equipped. The small balcony and roof terrace are a real plus and add to the apartment's charm. Erietta and Manolis provide numerous recommendations for discovering Heraklion and its best addresses, which is particularly appreciated. Very responsive and attentive, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. An excellent experience, which I recommend without hesitation!

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Christina’s studio is impeccable, walking distance from the city center. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

Great and very nice place with a lovely view. Close to the Lion square.

Close to the beach. Parking available. Apartment has everything you might need. Helpful host. Everything within walking distance, car is only needed for day trips. Nice toys for the kids. The only downside is that it is located next to a busy road with the necessary noise.
