Fleur Foudgum Studio

The place was/is very lovingly decorated. The surrounding area as well! It is a very functional place to stay and my personal taste is small and cozy. Yfke was present and accommodating when needed. She just has a knack for creating a nice and friendly atmosphere. All in all, recommended if you want to treat yourself.

Authentic wâldhûske

HendrieRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a lovely weekend with our son (8) in Johannes' cottage. What attention has been paid to the construction and furnishing of this cottage, wonderfully how many details Johannes has managed to add, we recognized objects that our grandmother used to cook with or that were in her kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the cottage has all the comforts. Bicycles are available, but you can also go many ways by car from here. We hope to come back again to see more of the area.
A snowy scene captures a windmill beside a tranquil river. Fluffy snow covers the rooftops of nearby houses and the ground, creating a serene landscape. The bridge in the distance can be seen emerging through the snowfall, enhancing the peaceful winter atmosphere.

Idyllic cottage by the river

Anke Und ArnoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were there for an extended period of time. The location is fantastic, you can sit right by the water in sunshine and enjoy a coffee and watch the ships. The dog also felt comfortable and was able to run around freely. The back of the garden is fenced. The neighborhood is very nice and very helpful. Apart from a pizzeria and a grill snack bar, there is unfortunately no way to eat and drink somewhere in the evening, unless you drive 10 km further, but since we had a bicycle with us, (there are also two available there) that was no problem for us and you can find out in advance what you want to do in the area, or what is offered. As Simone has already described for 1.90 m tall people, like we are, it was a challenge upstairs, but we knew that before, because it was in the listing. All in all, a beautiful cottage, rustically furnished and in the kitchen everything is available and a very nice hostess.

A serene canal scene is depicted, featuring a moored sailboat alongside charming buildings. The clear blue sky reflects on the calm water surface, while trees line the walkway, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The pathway is paved, providing space for pedestrians along the water's edge.

Comfortable home in Friesland

MirjamRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. Also nice was the sun in the front garden, where we could have breakfast quietly. The location is nice and quiet, so we were able to sleep really well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back. Finally, I would like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, wonderful week. Peter, Jolanda and Mirjam
A private terrace features a tall chair and two small red chairs, accompanied by a table holding a few apples and a small decoration. Lush greenery surrounds the space, and a vast field of golden crops extends into the distance under a bright blue sky dotted with clouds.

Sea shanties

Goasse is a nice host, easy to communicate with. The kitchen with seating area is well equipped. At the table you have a fantastic view over the countryside. For the colder nights, there is even a small heater to make it even more pleasant. The neat spacious bathroom is between the kitchen and the bedroom. The bedroom has a very good bed, this is the nicest I slept on in an airb&B.

Cozy house right on the water

JanaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We spent 6 nights with our two dogs at Marc's place and felt at home during that time. Marc is a great host who is always easily accessible; Bea visited us and helped us with questions. The small house is cozily furnished and very well equipped. We didn't miss anything. We loved sitting on the cozy veranda and enjoyed the great view. The surroundings are quiet, there is a lot of nature and there are many easily accessible excursion destinations nearby. Marc also provides bicycles and a boat, which we did not use. All in all, we were thrilled, enjoyed the time and would be happy to come back.

Sonja's place is very nice and privately located. The possibility to kayak through the canals was also great. We will be happy to come back.

A hidden gem in Friesland

LisaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We booked this stay as a gift for my parents. The cottage is cozy, clean and fully furnished. Everything you need is present – from fine lighting to good blackout curtains and a lovely bed. The bathroom was fresh and comfortable, with a nice shower and plenty of towels. The garden is spacious and quiet, with a cozy seating area. Inside there are fun games, which is a nice alternative to a TV. The kitchen is compact, but practical with, among other things, an air fryer and stove. The only downside: there was no freezer compartment. The contact with Anita was excellent. She is very friendly, welcomes you warmly and had decorated the cottage extra nicely for the occasion. She also gave nice tips about the area. The location is quiet, yet close to Dokkum and Leeuwarden. Parking was also easy. All in all, a very successful stay.
