The choice is huge when looking for a villa on Ameland. I am so happy to have arrived at Villa Duinhoeve! A beautiful house with all amenities you need. It is a "warm" and cozy house. The bathroom downstairs and upstairs are excellent. It is also nice that the bathroom upstairs has a lovely bath. The beds/mattresses are of good quality. With 8 people it is really very easy to do, the house is so spacious that you really don't get in each other's way. The communication with the host is great! After check-in, a friendly app or everything is to your liking. Also during the stay, everything can and may be requested from the Landlord. On the day of checkout, we even got a message that we didn't have to go before 10 a.m. because the cleaning lady didn't come until the afternoon. Everything is also easily accessible by foot such as; village Nes, Beach, restaurant, supermarket. What a wonderful week we had with a total of 6 adults and two dogs. A super cozy and lovingly furnished cottage, enough space for everything and everyone, everything equally comfortable. A special place, the fabulous weather also cooperated, but even in less good weather this would have been wonderful and cozy. Lots to do, both in Moddergat itself and in the area, and then you don't have to drive far - both Dokkum and the Lauwersmeer area are great. Tip: go sailing with the men of the ZK9 (leave from Lauwersoog). And what a paradise for the dogs and for birdwatchers!! We'd love to come back. Thank you Gwen and Marieke that we were also allowed to be guests in your uniquely beautiful cottage!

What a beautiful view, within walking distance beach and Nes, where there is much to experience. The cottage itself is complete and basic. Fully equipped, nothing missing and everything works.

What a wonderful stay. I was here around New Year's Eve, and the space was incredibly cozy and cozy. Small lights, candles and of course the wood stove! I went here for the silence, and it was quiet. I barely heard any fireworks. Lovely! Linda and Sjoerd are incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back!

Lovely home away from home to stay in. Very central located in Ameland for discovering the full island. Walking distance to the Wadden. The horses on the property makes the view extra prestine. Gerlies is very helpful we borrowed her BBQ and blender for home pasta sauce. We are able to rent bikes that were delegated at the house and from the house we were anle to bike all across the island. The house is very homely and comfortable for 10 people. Beautiful big garden with grass to play or picknick. We took our labradoodle with and she also loved the garden and being with us on vacation. Only tip for other tourists: Book your ferry/ veerboot tickets on time ;-). We enjoy the stay in Gerlies house a lot. Well recommended.

Very friendly host Mr. Alfred, communicates a lot and is helpful. The location of the bungalow is fantastic, near the dunes and the beach with lots of hiking and cycling possibilities. The reception and facilities of holiday park Klein water are also in walking distance. The bungalow was super clean and more than completely furnished. We had a misunderstanding about the bedding(not present) but that could be fixed soon. The bedrooms and plumbing are compact and slightly dated but very functional. Fine beds by the way. There are also modern, quite young bungalows through commercial businesses in the immediate vicinity, for rent which are a bit cheaper but they miss the "personal touch". We had a great stay.
