Wondrous. A comfortable room and dining area located remarkably in the Lacandan selva. My guides were amazing, I encountered wonderful birds, swam in gorgeous waterfalls and spent time in the lost city. I’m so grateful to have found Chanbor’s place. One recommendation—definitely follow the instructions and map your route before you leave. Also, attend to the photos. You’ll know you’re there because it will match the photos—

My whole family loved our stay here. It’s a quiet, basic rustic cabin on the riverbank with howler monkeys in the trees above and around. It is absolutely perfect for people who love nature. It is not five star, it is so much more. We were the only ones there, they had to clean a foot of mud off the cabin floor from the previous wet season, and the cabin was spotless. They did an amazing job getting it ready for us after being flooded a couple of months before. The only issue we had was, there was no one there when we arrived, and we had to go and find someone. It wasn’t a big deal, but with a family of five, including young children, it wasn’t the ideal start. But it turned into the perfect stay. They directed us to Las Guacamayas, the only restaurant in town, and we did a boat trip from there too. It was absolutely amazing. We weren’t sure about visiting this part of Mexico with the family, we are so glad we did. It was the highlight of our 6 weeks and completely safe. Do it!

Beautiful spot in the jungle. Super comfy bed. Nice space with living room and kitchen. Beautiful jungle area with river right outside. Slept really well here and enjoyed exploring the jungle and nearby sites. Thank you for a great stay.

Loved getting to stay here. In a beautiful garden/jungle, a very secluded place off the beaten path. Ismael and his family are so welcoming and kind, and very helpful. Just know the place is quite rustic/primitive. They took us to Bonampak for a good price and offered tours to the jungle and waterfall.
