Cottage vacation rentals in Marennes

What a serene and peaceful location, I've been visiting this area for 12 years and this is the 1st Airbnb we really didn't want to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed how private and tranquil the whole space was, besides some visits from a very friendly dog and of course a warm welcome from Fabien and his daughter we saw nobody else for the entirety of our stay. Fabien went out of his way to offer us any support we needed, and we couldn't recommend his place more! It's the perfect location for a family stay, and our only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay explore the local surroundings. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you again Fabien! we hope to see you next year.

We booked Maddy‘s place very last minute. She was very amicable and got the place ready quickly for us! The upstairs mezzanine was perfect t for ours kids. Maddy and her family were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again if we’re passing through. The house was perfect for two adults three children and a dog. Our children are aged 8, 10 and 12 and we enjoyed cycling out to the local town and playing by the swimming pool. The kids loved feeding the goat, there were chickens too. They loved the owners dog too! We visited Royan, it’s approx 30 minutes drive. I would throughly recommend this place!

Louise and Mickael hosted us very well, with a bottle of white wine and cold beers! Very much appreciated! We had a pleasant week's vacation at Moulin Chaillou. We were able to enjoy the pool, which the children loved (4 years and 1 year). All shops are nearby, the beach is 45 minutes away, as well as the aquarium, etc. If needed, don't hesitate, Louise and Mickael are there to meet your needs.

Very nice large house with a large wooded garden. Close to the sea, bike paths and all amenities. The beaches are very beautiful with a wild side, there are even natural pools, it's perfect for children. Great for a family vacation! We received a very nice welcome, Simon and Ludivine are very friendly and available! We'll be happy to go back!

We spent 2 very pleasant weeks with our 4-year-old daughter. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, the covered terrace is very nice. The indoor pool is a real plus. The residence is close to all amenities and especially the market. We could have gone mostly by bike. We recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

We spent a few romantic days with our two dogs to relax... Everything was there; the welcome and kindness of Joanna, the well-being in this small fisherman's house near the port in the middle of the village... we immediately felt comfortable. It is decorated and furnished with taste and care. Nothing is missing. And then, beautiful walks to the port or to the village. It was a magical moment! We recommend 100%

Very good stay. The environment of the cottage and the land that surrounds it are very pleasant: large spaces appreciated by our son! The cottage is as described, clean and well-equipped. The only downside is the bathroom is small. Hosting was warm and easy to organize. We will go back without hesitation!!

We had a lovely stay at Corinne's house. A haven of peace, silence. Beautiful layout of the house. Each room has a function and allows for privacy. Very large garden. Trees to find shade. I can only recommend the accommodation, the quality of communication with Corinne. Thanks to Corinne for her flexibility and kindness. If I come back to the area, I won't hesitate to rent the accommodation again.

A very nice spacious house and large property. Everything you need. Very comfortable beds. Clean... Great area. Great with a dog...especially at this time of year (March) you can walk great with the dog... Of course, the house is not cheap, but now everything has become very very expensive... Great hosts, always respond very quickly, friendly, helpful... So I'm sure we'll be back 🌞🌞🌊🌊

A really lovely comfortable gite. Amazing outdoor space including a safe pool with loads to entertain the kids. And lots nearby to do for young and old. We really enjoyed it with our two young ones.

Great stay. Self check-in. Everything was spotless, a small basket with eggs and tomatoes was waiting for us, thank you for the attention. Very well appointed studio, super comfortable sofa bed. Convenient air conditioning. Bathroom niquel. The garden has much more to our 2 dogs and we had the pleasure of meeting the donkey upon arrival. We stayed 3 nights and were able to visit the area. (Car required) The surroundings are superb and wild for a good walk with the dogs. I recommend if you want tranquility while being quite close to oléron.

Colleen and Keith are super hosts, very responsive and close by. The house was as expected and situated near lovely small villages and picturesque towns.

Alexis and Marine are very welcoming hosts... we were in a very quiet place. The place and location are really nice, great for relaxing and enjoying. Perfect location to discover other places ( La Rochelle 40min, 20min from Fouras, 40min from Île Madame, 1h from Amnéville Zoo etc.)

Very nice week spent at Caroline and Jacky's who are considerate hosts, very warm and always available. They had even taken care to prepare games suitable for our children. We didn't lack anything and will keep a great memory of their charming accommodation which we highly recommend.

Very good stay at Guillemette's. We were 4 people with a 2 year old baby. The house is very spacious, very functional, bright, clean. A very quiet place on the edge of forest surrounded by cats, chickens and dogs. The place with the house is peaceful. Rest assured. It was a very pleasant stay at Guillemette's which is very pleasant. I would highly recommend for a vacation with friends and/or family with or without children.

We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning next year! The gite was beautifully presented and had everything we needed. We had so much space and privacy. The best nights sleep will be had here, I guarantee you. The pool was beautiful. Great temperature for the time of year and an ideal size to get your daily exercise in. If you have kids it’s perfect for their entertainment. The gite is very spacious and has some really special touches. Keely went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect and would respond very quickly to any questions we had. She also had some fantastic recommendations. Be sure to ask for restaurant recommendations because we had some fantastic food. The location is ideal, just what you want when visiting France. Very authentic and the people are very friendly. The perfect stay in France. We will definitely stay longer next time.

This was -hands down- one of the prettiest locations we ever stayed at. The cottage is located in the French countryside, on the stunning domain owned by the hosts. We were completely surrounded by nature, yet there are plenty of options for visiting towns and getting groceries nearby. We loved that we could see the pool from our terrace, yet the pool itself is very secluded and it's as beautiful as you can see on the pictures. The (spacious) cottage is decorated in a very tasteful manner (I find this rare when looking for a place to stay) and we had everything we needed. The hosts were super friendly and helpful as well! We would definitely like to come back for another stay. Really recommend this place!

Excellent family stay at La Forêt Qui Pousse. The village is very well located for exploring the region (which was our case). Bertrand is a particularly welcoming host who gave us plenty of tips / good plans to visit, while having himself a great knowledge of the region and its history. He was also very accommodating. The accommodation is perfectly as described, with many small touches for children, who appreciated them. Favorite stay.
