We loved our stay in Cape Coral cottage. The location could not be beat. Close to Cape Coral Parkway and 47th Terrace, the heart of the downtown scene. Tons of restaurants, shops, and bars. Just about everywhere we went was dog friendly on their patios. Angel, our host, was very responsive, never intrusive. She is an excellent host.

Carlos’s place is amazing. The rooms were very comfortable. The location of the house was great, close to the beach and the center of the city. Carlos was very responsive to our concerns. The place would have been even more perfect with a pool in it. 🤣 But seriously, we loved our stay there and would definitely book there again!

Everything Hoot described was perfect. he personally reached out to us prior to check in and also checked in with us throughout the day. He was fantastic and very flexible. The place is exactly as described and I would not hesitate to rent from him again. He is a class act through and through. The kitchen was stocked with leftover amenities from other guests, which made it easy. I would recommend not going to the store unless you absolutely need to get something until you see what is there to use. Thank you to all the previous renters for sharing their goodies that were not needed at the end of their stay. Excellent Host!

Cool Condo for your Cozy Stay

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed our stay at Doville’s condo. The location within the Lely Resort was great! We walked to workout every morning then went for a swim. The bike and walking trails were beautiful! All the extra amenities she had in the condo was an added bonus. We used the beach umbrella and chairs to visit a beach in Marco Island one day. So much to do in the area! We already booked for next March!

Sanibel Harbour Resort - 714: Coastal condo

JulieRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The resort was absolutely gorgeous and everything I could have asked for and so much more. Mother Nature was not our friend however the staff helped with any of the uncontrollable situations handed to us ALL this past week. My mom and I loved it so much we looked into the real-estate listings. I can’t wait to come back when it’s not in the beginning of hurricane season and get a dry look around. With that being said, this resort has a fantastic beach for shelling and amazing views. Even the dolphins came to swim close to the shore. 10 out of 10, can’t wait to sea you again!!

Luxury Villa Alexa Naples

ErikRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed for 3+ weeks over Christmas and NYE in Niki’s Naples villa. The house, the lanai and the garden provide a Florida home away from home - it’s tidy and spacious, yet cosy and homey. Walking, cycling, driving and parking inside the Briarwood gated community feels so safe. Our favourites: 1. The villa’s layout with high floor-to-ceiling height, four bedrooms, three baths and the living room, kitchen and lanai at its heart. 2. Fishing in the canal just behind the house. 3. Briarwood’s well kept, pleasant neighbourhood with nice sunny walks and bike rides, pickleball courts, basketball and more. Lastly, Niki was a great host and made our stay a breeze by being service minded, accessible and professional. Niki made our booking and our stay run smoothly.

Waterfront Villa with Swimming Pool and Hot Tub!

Dennis and Stacey’s house was perfect for our group of 8 adults. We had plenty of space to spread out inside, but especially loved the dining/living areas in the lanai! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, kayaking, and fishing off the dock. We also rented a boat and were given clear instructions on where to dock, which was perfect. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day!

Your guide to Marco Island

All About Marco Island

Just off the coast of southwest Florida, Ten Thousand Islands is a marine constellation of a few hundred keys, isles, and islets of various sizes. Marco Island is the largest and only developed island in the bunch. It’s hemmed in by nature preserves such as Big Cypress National Preserve, Collier-Seminole State Park, the Everglades, and Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge. But it is not just the surrounding landscape that’s laced with waterways; so many canals slice through this tranquil beachfront retirement community that many vacation homes are on the water. Rent a kayak or paddle boat to explore the coastline, or hop on a dolphin tour boat and head out into the Gulf of Mexico. Or simply enjoy the fine, white-sand beaches like Marco Beach and Tigertail Beach: Pods of bottlenose dolphins often play in the surf just offshore and the beachcombing around here is excellent.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Marco Island

A haven for snowbirds, Marco Island is busiest in the winter. Between November and March, you can expect comfortable highs around 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with sunny days and some scattered rain. Like other subtropical destinations, southwestern Florida experiences only two seasons — a dry season during winter and a wet season during summer; because the temperature doesn’t fluctuate drastically, be sure to pack lightweight clothes and sunscreen no matter when you visit. June, July, and August are hot and humid on Marco Island, with temperatures around 90 degrees, high humidity, and regular periods of rain during the day. Summer also brings a risk of hurricanes, which generally lasts through October.

Top things to do in Marco Island

Tigertail Beach

On the northwest side of Marco Island, Tigertail Beach is a 31-acre stretch of beach and dunes. A spit called Sand Dollar island separates the beach from the Gulf of Mexico. The mudflats on the northern end of Tigertail Beach attract various shorebirds, and the butterfly garden, volleyball courts, and boardwalks at the southern end of the beach attract locals and visitors alike.

Collier-Seminole State Park

You don’t have to head to the national park to experience the vegetation and wildlife of Florida’s Everglades. Collier-Seminole State Park is just a few miles from Marco Island and contains 7,271 acres of mangrove swamp, royal palm stands, and other native plant communities.

Cape Romano Dome House

Like something from a science fiction movie, the Cape Romano Dome House is a cluster of six empty igloo-shaped structures stilted over the water south of Marco Island. Constructed in the early 1980s by a retired Florida oilman, the house was eventually abandoned as the island beneath it eroded. Today, it’s accessible by boat and attracts birds, marine life, and curious photographers.
