Skipperhuset

🏡 Skipperhuset is the oldest house on our family farm Birkenes located in Farsund municipality. The Skipper House was built in the 19th century and has been rehabilitated several times, most recently in the spring of 2021. In collaboration with a local painting company, we are working to make the house as authentic as possible, including wallpapering the living room, kitchen and hallway with skipper house wallpaper and linseed oil paint to preserve wood, etc. The Skipperhuset has a natural place on the farm and is located wall to wall with the brewery house which has a renovated baker's oven.

At the boathouse there is a jetty with a bathing ladder. The house has two bedrooms. Double bed in one and double bed with bunk in the other. The property is located 4 km from the center of Lyngdal. 3 km from Sørlandsbadet. 8 km from Handelsparken.

The house comes with its charm. Ceiling height is lower than today's standard, about 2m in most rooms. The stairs to the 2nd floor are somewhat steep with small steps (see picture). 100 m to bakery and 24-hour shop. 5 min walk to city center. 25 min walk to Sjøsanden beach and Furulunden. Kristiansand 24 min Kristiansand Dyrepark 35 min. Mandal 22 min 15-foot boat with 6hp motor available in the summer. The boat is not available in April and October.

Welcome to us! Funkieshus from 2024, with large windows, lots of sun and a lovely view over the sea. Living room, dining area and kitchen in one room, 1 bathroom with shower and washing machine, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. Towels and beds are included in the price and beds are made on arrival. Parking inside the garage and in front of the garage door. There is a large terrace facing west, and paving stones around the house again at the entrance. Part of the outdoor area is still under renovation.

Lyngdal city center with shops, restaurants and activities is only 7 km away. The area offers great hiking and excursion opportunities for the whole family.
