Hidden gem in a quaint neighborhood. The breeze that blows through the house is amazing. Fabian was very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and shop.

Cozy space with a nice veranda view. It was safely locked up and the bathroom had lots of amenities (like hot water!). The house was close to Treasure Beach and about a 10 minute walk to small shops. Very responsive hosts. Mr. Alton was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again!

Shalom is the most God-inspired enclave of nature you can imagine.... set atop a beautiful hillside with panoramic views across the Pedro Plains, down to the South Coast and the sea. It is peaceful and atmospheric with wild winds at night adjacent to the Wind farm. Time stops here and you breathe deeply..it is an immersion experience unto itself. There is a grassy garden which you can explore with an old ponciana tree to climb, and a Norfolk pine which reminds one of Christmas. The house itself is solid and warm like a cocoon sheltering us against the elements and yet we can listen to the wind singing us to sleep at night. All necessary ammenities were available including a well-tuned piano which my children played enthusiastically. Despite feeling like a remote retreat Shalom is in fact only 20 minutes via short cut to Treasure Beach permitting us to have both a serene mountain and rustic beach experience all within a 24-hour period. It is Shalom indeed - Peace and pure delight !!!

This is a very comfortable room in a spectacular setting. It was nice to have the little kitchen across the patio, which we just used for the refrigerator and coffee making, but was equipped enough to have done more. The AC worked well, which was important since we visited in late May.
