Hortus House is a unique place, located in an old house with a lot of stories to tell and a magnificent garden full of stone sculptures and trees. This is the lungs of our neighborhood! Located an easy 15 min stroll from the old center of Ljubljana, where you will find peace away from the crowds. Recently we refurbished part of our family house and turned it into a pleasant and comfortable place for up to 4 people, waiting just for you!

The house is really nice and beautifully decorated. It’s very big and comfortable. There is even an outdoor space for relaxing and eating. The small orchard is a plus. Everything is harmonious, welcoming, respectful... from the architecture to the way you experience the space. I loved staying there. Matej is a fantastic host – incredibly attentive and kind without ever being intrusive. He made sure we had everything we needed, gave us great tips for local activities, and even gifted us a bottle of his homemade wine. The accommodation isn’t huge, but it’s beautifully designed with handcrafted furniture that adds a lot of charm. The location is simply stunning – we enjoyed beautiful sunsets, relaxing on the terrace in the Jacuzzi, and the view from the sauna is absolutely unbeatable. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, with lots of nature to explore and peaceful scenery all around. On top of that, the people in the region are exceptionally warm and welcoming – we felt right at home. We truly didn’t miss a thing. Highly recommend!
