Vacation rentals in Malcata

A beautiful house in a great location with a wonderful view from the terrace, with a very nice natural pool, but a bit cold because of the constantly fresh water. The neighborhood is very quiet and welcoming. We were a bit unlucky because of the wildfires. So we had to leave 2 days early to be sure to get to the airport and catch our plane. Irene was very friendly and open hearted and took great care of the house and pool. We can fully recommend this villa.

Our stay was one week and we were able to enjoy a lot of calm, good landscapes and country trails 2 minutes from the house. Soledad sends you a lot of information about routes, towns and restaurants and is available 24/7. It never took more than a few minutes to answer any messages I sent during my stay. Our butane tank ran out and in 20 minutes we had it changed. The place is very well maintained and the facilities are of good quality. They even have the thoughtfulness to have things like salt and pepper, scented candles or Tupperware at your disposal. Everything you need to live with the essentials for a few days. Small tip for future customers: if you stay longer than 2 or 3 days I recommend leaving the shower towels to dry outside the bathroom, since it is a very humid room and they will get a little musty. Overall, it was a very quiet and relaxing stay, a nice change from city life.

The house & location is in a very small village up in the North of Portugal. Perfect getaway for us coming from a busy part of Portugal! We enjoyed our stay at the place, and highly recommend it to anyone considering booking. It was clean, super spacious & had a trampoline & small climbing course for my kids!

Thank you Liesbet and João, for the beautiful place to get away and relax surrounded by animals and nature. No city lights so a great place for seeing the stars at night. Liesbet is a very gracious and helpful hostess, great communication. Enjoyed a fantastic horseback ride around the area lead by Joao, a magical ride! Far enough away for a few days or weeks of relaxation surrounded by nature, but it also allows you to do some sightseeing. In an hour drive you can be in Coímbra or Aveiro. Also, nearby you have all kinds of services like restaurants or supermarkets.

Very nice house, beautiful setting. We couldn't do anything nearby because our car broke down, but we did a route that left the village and we got lost taking a walk around the village, everything was beautiful. Looking forward to returning to discover more about the area. The views are unbeatable. Not to mention Carmen and Macu, always attentive and helpful. We had a great time and were very comfortable.

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful environment . Nature, horses in the fields next door... the city center of Ciudad Rodrigo nearby. Beautiful walled city very lively. Very functional and very well-equipped house inside and out. Stunning well-maintained pool. And Gloria is friendly and very responsive to requests . Thanks again and see you next time

Extremely quiet place, with complete privacy and all the comforts you need for a quiet and relaxing weekend. The house is equipped with all the amenities and the terrace, with a jacuzzi at the ideal temperature, offers a breathtaking view. The owner was always very accessible and attentive, giving helpful suggestions on places to visit and where to eat nearby. Access is easy and there is a nearby supermarket that offers home delivery service, which made the stay even more practical and comfortable. An experience we recommend!

We spent a few days at Maria José's house and the truth is that the house was not missing any details, it's a pity that the dates were not the best to enjoy the beautiful pool that it has, the house is amazing, better than as described in the photos on the page, to return!!
