Monthly Rentals in Makrades

Staying in the little pink house in Doukades was an absolute dream! I visited during the off-season (February–April), when the town was quiet except for the beautiful spring celebrations. Now, with the season changing, you get to experience the village waking up—more shops and cafés open, while the nearby beaches remain blissfully empty (a very different story in the summer!). A car is definitely essential for exploring, but everything you need is within reach. The little market right outside is incredibly friendly and convenient—Vickey and Irene are absolute gems! And if you love hiking, all I can say is go up! The mountain access from Doukades is just a 10-minute walk, connecting directly to the Corfu Trail from the church. The hikes are breathtaking! The village itself is peaceful, warm, and welcoming—I always felt safe. The cats are like little guardians of the town, adding to its charm. And I can’t say enough wonderful things about the host, Herlinde. She was incredibly kind.

Very friendly hosts and a great location to visit Agelokastro and Gaidouromonopati by foot, as well as nearby villages. Nice, well cared for and peaceful apartment with lots of nice cats nearby too!

What an amazing place to stay in this quaint village this home gives you everything, an outstanding private outside space to relax in the evenings along with cosy comfortable character accommodation. We had an amazing time here, hire a car to many beaches and villages and then return and relax in this wonderful home and its setting. I would highly recommend if you want everything that’s fabulous about a Corfu holiday book it now.

A beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. The check-in was easy, the house has all the amenities which you’ll need. There are two amazing restaurants around the corner (Tomateli and Veatriki), and a spectacular view in walking distance (the Donkey Trail). A car is recommended to have, as the hills are quite steep, so a scooter could have difficulties.
