Great accommodation and extremely attentive guests! I loved it!

We weren’t able to stay at Vera’s airbnb, but even so she has been incredibly sweet and helpful!! She makes you feel at home!

The stay was excellent! The ease of access plus the proximity to Lapa made it much easier to get to and from the various points of Rio. I was very well received by the team, who answered any questions I might have. As already mentioned directly with them, it will certainly be where I will stay when I return to Rio!

Bindu is a fantastic host! Every morning she is super helpful about tips on where to go in Rio based on our interests. We lived her 7 days with our two kids (aged 6 and 9) who really loved to swim in the pool and hang out at home when we needed a break from the big city. Extremely delicious breakfast too. It has been amazing to live here!

We stayed at Paulo's place for 5 nights and enjoyed our accommodation. The house is well-decorated, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The shared bathroom was always clean. Paulo is an extraordinary host who made every effort to ensure our holiday was a success. He suggested places to visit in Rio and gave us helpful advice. His breakfast and coffee were delicious. We would definitely stay at his place again when returning to Rio.

Local is beautiful. Intimisty. Great location for those looking for rest and tranquility! I recommend it.

This is perhaps the most beautiful hotel I have stayed at! Interior design is spotless and I love the music that was playing. The lady working in the mornings was so caring, thoughtful and sweet. I would say the outdoors area as well as common spaces are the greatest perks of the place. Urca felt very safe and well-located. The room is not the most spacious and there is no storage room, plugs near the bed, etc. Those small inconveniences were however outweighted by all perks mentioned above.

I am SO happy my bestie chose this Airbnb. He came last year and loved it so when I told him I wanted to join his annual trip to Rio, he insisted we stay here. Now I understand why. This is the most charming Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. This home is enchanted. I had the best and most restorative sleep here every night. The beds were cozy. The bathroom is stunning. The whole house is full of beautiful local art. There’s attention placed into every detail of the home and the experience itself. Opt for the breakfast. A great way to start the day. There’s a gym nearby where you can get a cheap weekly pass. 20 min Uber to the beach ($3 or $4 USD). Walking distance from the entrance to Christ the Redeemer if that’s your thing. Such an amazing host and beautiful spirit. I asked for thread to sew something and she did it for me. Genuinely, she’s SO kind! She also sent out our laundry as an add on. I hope to visit again someday soon. Magical place! Thank you thank you thank you!

Quiet beach, safe neighborhood, the region lacks a bit of an option. Excellent hosting, room with a wonderful view, very cozy beds, we got everything very clean. We use the common area with barbecue and feel at home. The only downside is lack of parking and difficult access, which is the difficulty of all the bed and breakfasts in the area.

I stayed at CasaJomo Art at the very end of my time in Rio, and I genuinely wish I had found it sooner! The neighborhood had a charming, small-community feel, free from the usual tourist crowds, which made it even more special. The property itself was perfect—beautifully maintained, with spacious and private rooms. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit and delicious offerings each morning. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible family who runs it. Their hospitality is unmatched; they welcomed me with open arms, making me feel safe, cared for, and completely at home. It was clear they simply wanted me to have the best experience possible, and they went above and beyond to make that happen. Would absolutely stay here again!

We went as a couple and found that Urca is a great place to live in/stay in Rio, a quiet neighborhood and reasonably close to everything (within what is possible in a city the size of Rio de Janeiro). The apartment is also great, spacious, comfortable, complete, in a beautiful house, super well decorated and with a great vibe. The only negative point was the bathroom box, which dropped water out of the bath space. If they solve this box issue, the apartment is perfect. Service was also great, polite and attentive, and we had a specific demand that the Host was very proactive to help us. We would definitely get back to staying.
