Cow Lane Cottage

This delightful end stone cottage sits on the outskirts of the picturesque Cheshire town of Bollington, with stunning views from the rear up to the landmark 'White Nancy' and rolling valleys at the front. The cottage is named for the cows that live in the surrounding fields who will often pop their heads over the garden wall to have a munch on the foliage. Plattin Inn - Walk. Cycle. Relax

Originally a traveller’s rest on the 18th century toll road between Buxton and Macclesfield, Plattin Inn was sympathetically restored in 2011, taking advantage of its glorious Peak District Park location. Walk or cycle from the doorstep or sit on the patio and gaze at the spectacular peaks of Shuttlingsloe or Shining Tor. Being just a mile from the famous Cat & Fiddle Road, the towns of Buxton & Macclesfield are only a 15 minute car ride away. Off road parking. Smallish dog by arrangement.

Black Cat Cottage in lovely Wildboarclough

Lovely stone-built two bedroom cottage in converted barn and piggery, on a 20 acre farm overlooking Shutlingsloe. The farmhouse and cottage were renovated in 2019, but the cottage retains a rustic charm - stone built and with a stone roof, and some barn features. Walks to Shutlingsloe, Grandbach Mill, Lud's Church, the Cat and Fiddle, and Three Shire Head can all be accessed from the farm, as can the local pub and Blaze Farm for ice cream (challenging walks, includes some walking on road).
